I had a collection agency in Montana contact me a 1 1/2 yrs ago? I haven't heard from them since. Can you tell me if I still owe money?

So, evidently an old employer failed to pay an agreed upon tuition bill from a local college. I was just notified that the bill is now $1600 and the collection agency wants me to pay. I did attend the school, the employer was SUPPOSED to pay the school directly, and I guess never paid the entire bill. This was nine years ago, and I'm just finding out about it now. The SOL in Massachusetts is six years. The collection guy was unbelievably nice :!: but at the same time giving me the whole song and dance about how the judge will repossess my car (?) if I don't have the cash to pay.

How do I get a collection agency to quit calling my daughter. She is only 14 years old and to my knowledge to only one she owes money to is her brother, but this DCI collection agency calls her cell phone 5 or 6 times a day. I have told them to stop calling, but they refuse.

I just had some company call me on my job and say that i have to affidavits that are going against me on internet fraud from fsm group and some other company i didn't even let the lady finish but she was asking me did i have an atty and all. I am going through t&c who is helping me with these companies. I don't know what to do....can anyone tell me if these companies can do this or what shall i do.

The above says it all my brother and I are caught up in payday debt. We are both on disability and are feeling there is no way out. I was told I was Judgement Proof but cant figure out how to get out of the payday loans, all 6 of them I just signed up for counseling HELP US not to feel like criminals
