I took a payday loan out in 2005 through cAshnet.com for 300.00 made a few payments on it and lost my job had no choice quit paying.. I will be honest i forgot all about it til i received a call from PeachTree LAw Center.. I set up payment arrangements with them everything was going fine until they started taking double payments in july 1 payment authorized 1 payment not authorized. I have been fighting with them for 3 weeks to return the money. The card isnt even mine its my girlfriends who gave them authorization to deduct 25.00 1 a month on the 16th.

I live in sc, i.have.a pdl with alpine.direct.for 150$ i have paid 45$for refinance charge, another pdl with ameriloan for.200$ and paid 120$ for refinance charges. How do i,know if they.are illegal in sc and wht do i do if they are?? Im willing to,pay back the loan amount but should i.consider the.fees theyve already taken as payments to that loan? What do i do?

Approximately 3 years ago I began taking out payday loans. One at a time and it seemed i would keep paying off one and then having to pull out another one. Approximately 2 years ago I had 3 going simultaneously. I was keeping up with the payments but then some unexpected circumstances occured and i ended up defaulting on them. I had contacted 2 of them and asked if they could bill me as I had to shut down my checking account that the ACH was coming from due to the fees that were being assessed. They stated they could not bill me and I would need to make the paymetns electronically.

I just got a call from John frye law office regard my debt with hsc financial ,I own them 14000 one of his lowes called me he was very polite , and try to get me to settle , does anyone know if this lowes are reliable and honest don't know what to do ..please help I already lost almost everything I want to pay this debt but hsc was no help what so ever now this Atlantic finance has it with John frye

Hi, everyone. Wanted to post this to assist those of you in RI dealing with PDLs. That said, I make NO claims that this is the best way to handle dealing with PDLs (my plan is to repay the principal on those that I have). Just what I've found after digging around. RI law is unfortunately very "PDL friendly" when it comes to internet based PDLs. I emailed the RI Division of Banking (the entity who 'governs' this sort of thing in RI) the following message: I am writing to inquire as to the legality of internet based short term or "payday" lenders in Rhode Island.
