I just need to rant about this. Gas prices are kind of off topic, yet not off topic because most of us are teetering on a financial edge as we try to get away from the PDL vultures. ARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH! Gas at my closest station went up *21 cents* today. This brings the total change in price over the last month to $1.08 a gallon; the price here is now $3.07 in suburbs of Norfolk, VA. That is just outrageous. I know there are all kinds of reasons and excuses, but that doesn't make it hurt less financially. Ok, rant over. :) Dana

She wanted her to contact me, regarding an urgent matter. She left me the womans name number and a reference letter. Is this legal? I feel violated!

Can someone please advise me what may help my raise my FICO score and look better on my credit reports? I am in the process of settling some credit card accounts and am also in the position to pay off a few credit cards completely. If I pay off a few of the credit card accounts in full that have some negative payment history on them and bring the balance to zero would that hurt my credit?

Hello again everyone!! I keep reading everyone on here talking about T&C....debt consolidation, right? Everyone has bosted about how awesome this company is to deal with. Are they only working in certain areas or can any get in touch with them? I have been in contact and have even had a few appointments with some companies in my area, and they all charge me an arm and a leg to get the ball rolling. I am trying to get out of debt, not get further in.

What do you do when uou see something on your credit report that you know nothing about and you try to contact the company but they are out of business? I believe me XXXXXXXXXXXX went and got some furniture in OUR name when I left him. He had it bad going around getting things in our name as we were married and we were not. On my credit report is shows open account sold to another???? or something like that. Does this mean that it was paid or what? The furniture company has been out of business.

My credit report shows a judgement and collection account for the same credit card. Should I try and get that taken off? The entry under "Adverse Accounts" lists that being removed in 10/07. Thank you again!

I reviewed my report and saw Credigy on there (I guess they took over some credit card I had...?). Can someone give me an idea of this is something I should pay off or try to settle? Here is some info from the entry... Date Updated - 1/06 Pay Status - Collection Account Account Type - Open Account Date Closed - 2/01 Date placed for collection - 12/02 Est. date for removal - 8/07 The balance is 3388. I know the SOL in Missouri for Open Accounts is 5 years. But what year is that 5 years from? Last update, date closed or date placed for collection? Thank you all in advance!
