Okay - I have been sitting here for about 45 minutes now searching this forum for assistance and I must say, I have gotten a ton of information that will get me started - but I still have few questions: What is the exact process? Should I just submit a dispute or send validation letters to the collection agencies? Which is better?

Virgiania-legal-defense(VLD) one of our valuable community members who some of us like me have come to appreciate a lot for their selfless dedication to the community proposed to me recently that there is a woman in michigan who needs legal help with her payday loan lenders. He requested that DebtC community pay for her legal defense and it will cost approximately $300. I have told him that our community would be happy to pay for her legal defense if the woman agrees to come forward for a video interview describing her situation both before and after the case.

What is the SOL on medical bills? I seriously have medical bills on my credit report that are at least 5-6 years old. I sometimes get letters in the mail on these from debt collectors. Me being the avoidance queen that I am, simply chuck them in the circular file, without opening them. Thanks for your insights:)

I am becoming worried that some of these people will start calling me at work. I don't have a direct line and they would have to leave messages. I definitely don't need harrassment at work. I have faxed and sent out cease and desist letters and am hoping that will work especially for the payday lenders who are in the United States (I referred to the fdcpa in my letters) but I have 3 loans with lenders who are in other countries (Belize and London). Do they also have to abide by the FDCPA, or is there an international law that I can use as protection against them harrassing me at work.

Ok so here is the problem I face right now.. Last week I was a victim of that Chase bank email scam.. where you put in your account info and social but it's a bogus site. So I contacted Bank One and they closed all my accounts.. and I thought.. hey this is the perfect time to consolidate my payday loans which in all I have 2500 dollars worth… so my account is now closed.. Well I called one America Financial Solutions and I asked did they consolidate payday loans and she said “yeah but its going to be hard..

anyone familiar wiht this number

this guy named alex called me from some interstate agency claiming i was being charged with theft conversion and internet fraud due to a paydayloan not being paid in full i told the guy this loan was paid and he said he didn't care if i paid platinum b i owed them $565 or they would process me and contact my employer i told the guy do that and he would be sued. How should i handle this any suggestions
