Hi all, Well, I took my first step towards repairing my DISASTER of a credit report. I sent 4 debt validation letters! I sent them Certified mail, with return receipt. I am pretty nervous and excited at the same time. I followed all the tips that I have received here, and I thank all of you for helping me with this process. When I found this forum I didn't even know what a debt validation letter was!! I am pretty sure that at least 2 of these accounts are not mine, so hopefully those will eventually be deleted and my credit score will go up a bit.

I read in another forum about talk of spoiling kids. Whether they're own children or not, do you feel it is okay to spoil children. Understand that spoiling them and teaching them the importance of saving is okay, but is doing both at the same time okay? I just like seeing the joy, and smile on the faces of children when they receive something special. I'm a sucker for gift giving.

where can i go to find all the history on my credit partnership account. payments etc

My husband and I have applied for a home loan and I have had a few past accounts that were charged off, then paid to the collection agency. On my credit reports the original credit card company has it listed as a charge off, and then there is the paid collection listing from the collection agency. Is it normal to have both on my report? If not, what is the proper way of asking them to take it off. Also, I have a debt that hasn't been paid on since 1/2001.

do u report to the credit beaureaus if a client of yours makes continual payments ontime, etc?

I am receiving harrassing calls at work from Erin Koch. I have hung up on him 3 times in the past ten minutes he is rude. He actually yelled at me. The number comes up as private so I cannot see where he is calling from Does anyone know where he works?

I was recently turned down for a loan because of of the inquiries on my credit report. My questions are: 1) Can I block further inquires? 2) Can I remove any from my report? 3) How long will they stay on my report? (nevermind I see AR and PRM stay for 1 year) Apparently this is the worst thing about my report besides the 6 digits I owe in debt. I make more than my debt per year but I want to (and will be able to) clean it up within 4 years, for my children's sake. Thanks! Quicksand
