People from collection agency used to come to this forum and post their comments just few days back. They preferred names like ‘ex employee of abc collection' or ‘ex collector' and so on. Now it clearly shows that the person is/was somehow related with the company. So they have introduced a new skill.

I am interested in doing debt consolidation on credit cards. How can it be done?

Northway Debit took $438 from my checking account last pay, and I'm not sure who they are!

They claim to be located at 3411 Bailey Avenue Ste.1, Buffalo, NY. A search for the adderss shows they must be renting an office at the local Harley Davidson. Not sure how that works. Their location probably changes depending on who calls. A search of their name reveals nothing but this one website we're posting to. I've searched the BBB.org to no avail. Their tactics are similar to thugs. Our Validiation Letter is going out today, we'll see what they've got. They really don't like to give up their mailling address and the receptionist was very defensive.

Can anyone help with advice? I recently received my credit report, and wanted to call the companies(5) i owed money too. To get some information on how i can go about settling with them.and then to see which companies i can afford to start paying. Anyhow i called midland,and spoke to a very nasty,rude rep.who told me i had to pay something now- i explained my situation to her and how i was simply just trying to gather some information on every company so i can pay off. Well i had to hang up because she wouldnt stop.

I came home from work last night to find another updated credit report from Trans Union. They deleted several items that I recently disputed, several belonged to my ex-husband. I'm slowly rebuilding that FICO score and I'm sure the debt consolidation will be a big help. I have a few more items to dispute on the other two but it all takes time :D

Hi gang, My husband recently received a letter from a local CA regarding a past due medical bill involving his son. Now this is where I get confused. Hubby has already paid them partially but he only owes seventy percent of the bill. His ex-wife is responsible for the other thirty percent. This is clearly stated in the child custody papers from the court. The CA states they don't get involved with issues like that. He said we should pay the whole bill and try to recover the other amount from hubby's ex-wife.
