What if I have debts that have gone over to collection agencies

Does a collection agency get a bigger commission at the end of the year for all collections they receive? They seem to be getting more aggressive the closer to the end of the year it gets.

Does credit card consolidation hurt your credit in any way?

time barred debt I have received notice from a collection agency that they intend to attempt to collect a debt which is time barred. I want them to stop calling me, how do I do this. I have read that if i aknowledge the debt, the file is re opened and eligible to begin collection proceedings as a new debt. how do I stop the phone calls and keep the debt time barred?

I received a letter today from asset acceptance llc / Tate & Kirlin Associates claiming I owe over $400 for a debt from 1987. They could not tell me whom I owe but did offer to reduce the debt to $184 if I would pay it over the phone. On all my credit reports, up to last year, this debt was never listed. The whole thing sounded fishy but I was unsure.

Who is Roadside Pal, LLC? They just charged me $14.95 on my phone bill. _________________ ...

Why is filing bankruptcy generally opposed? Will consolidation affect my credit ratings if it is chosen?

Debit cards are very much sensitive to withdrawals. Sometimes they require attention more than credit cards or checking accounts even. Unlike credit cards and checking accounts, the transactions through debit card are reflected into your fund almost immediately. So you need to be very much cautious while using it. A few things that you should maintain-

debt consolidation program reduces the total amount of the debt with my creditors. I am interested in knowing why will the creditors reduce the total amount and why will this program offer me lower monthly payments? Thanks Shane
