We hope that my opinion might be really valuable to someone hit with hard times. I often see a lot of people here falling in the traps of Payday Loans. If you want a sincere suggestion, do not take such loans. These loans are advanced to you and money is taken out from your monthly paycheck.

How to stop harassment by collection agency

    19 years 10 months ago
Hi You can legally stop all the harassing phone calls from the collection agencies. You can send a cease and desist letter via certified mail to a collection agency and request them to stop contacting you. However, make sure you have a copy of this letter for future reference. Once the collection agency receives this letter, they are required to stop communicating with you under the FDCPA law. They can only inform you about the actions that will be taken against you.

Be aware of the scary trick used by collection agencies

    19 years 10 months ago
debt collectors often try to pressurize you by making you pay on some non existent debt. This debt can even become legal and you will have to pay for it. collection agencies doing illegal business will purchase charged off or time barred debts and start contacting you. Suppose they call you for a debt of $10,000 which you don't owe. They will frame it in such a way and making you think that you owe this debt. You think of ignoring this call as it is a charged off debt and is not shown in your credit report.

Letter from United Legal Corp. sent through fake means

    19 years 10 months ago
I also receive a letter from United Legal Corp yesterday November 11. There is the round postmark circle on the envelope that says "Jacksonville FL" but that is it, NO DATE (how is that possible??). I opened it and the date of the letter is October 11, in other words, I received it Nov 11 and it's dated Oct 11. It seems this may be their way around giving me 30 days to send a validation. Says it's regardintg National Title Loans, I assume it's for a payday loan, maybe one from Ellis Crosby, although I don't recognize the name.
