How long does Rehabilitation take to improve Credit Score

19 years 9 months ago
I was default on my student loans. It was completely my mistake; I ignored them when I left school. I need a house but these default loans were causing lots of troubles. So I decided to rehabilitate, I've paid 4 installments already and need to pay 8 more. My question is how long will it take to improve my score? Can the new score be effectively high?

19 years old in need of advice

19 years 9 months ago
hello all, my problem is not a money problem but more of a time problem. you see i am a musician/producer and my wife is a hair stylist so we're never home. we're constantly making late payments because bills will get lost or we get them late. we have lots of bills and its hard for us to keep track of them and send them out every month. is it worth consolidating so that i will only have one bill a month or is there another way of doing it. any help would be greatly apprectiated.

stuck in payday loan cycle please help

19 years 9 months ago
I am stuck in the vicious cycle of loans. After my divorce it was tough be a single parent of 2 kids. I dont' have enough money anymore to pay them and my bills. I am considering closing my bank account due to this. My question is once i close my account what do i need to to. Its obvious they will contact me about the debt. I have heard about sending the C and D letter but at what point do i send that? Before they start calling my work? I am willing to pay them back but i just can't pay all of them at the same time. I need to know the exact steps to take. WHen i send what.

Debt Consolidation vs Debt Settlement..which is better?

19 years 9 months ago
Just need a little assistance getting my facts straight here. Have spoke with both consolidation companies and settlement companies. My situation is extremely high credit card debt (40,000). Consolidation requires that I pay off all the debt and maintain good credit correct? And a company can do this for me, lowering the interest rate and so long as the payment is made every month my credit will remain intact.

Cash Today Limited-Who is responsible-A detailed discussion

19 years 9 months ago
I am hearing that cash today is under uk laws and that they do not abide by us laws and basically they do not call under the fdcpa but i recieved an e-mail from the bbb that responds to complaints on uk customers and this is what was said: Thank you for your complaint about cash2day4u.com. Trust UK is the e-commerce standards agency. As such, it approves the codes of subscriber & membership bodies and hears complaints about webtraders based in the UK.

Hello to Everyone!!

19 years 9 months ago
I just found this site tonite..I have been talking to debt consolidaters for a couple of weeks now and still can't make up my mind what to do. I've never had to worry about finances, if I got in a little too deep, just went out and got a 2nd job or did whatever I needed to pay it off then moved on. Unfortunately I got into the business of kids...and they all had family members and would leave and come back and it just snowballed!!

Kept giving and helping and forgot about me!!

Being close to 50 and never having had any serious debt problem I never thought twice about using all the credit cards I had!! I mean, I always made the payments on time, usually more than what was required.

Where do I go from here??

19 years 9 months ago
I am so glad to have found this page but I hope I'm not being duped!! Meaning...everyone here is really doing the debt elimination thing and not just trying to suck me in for more money!!! I had to leave work a year ago because of problems with foster kids. Lived off credit cards (I know bad idea)because I figured I would pay them off when I went back to work. Now I can't go back to work but have a little income. Can I do debt consolidation?
