for the past 2 years, im out of the US. i closed my crdit card acts and my bank accts before i left. i paid all my bills since i knew i will not be back for long. end of this month, im planning to come back. do these 2 years of not having any cards affect my credit history?

My wife and I currently have about 51,000 in credit card/loan debt. All of it is unsecured. We are still in a positive cash flow, but barely. Other than my debt/income ratio being lopsided, I have perfect credit. We have tried getting consolidation loans, but no one will talk to us due to our debt/income. Is debt settlement the right course of action and what long term impact will it have on our credit history.

Someone called my place of work and stated that they were gathering information on a person and wanted to know date of birth etc. When they were told that the company does not give out personal information they got mad and hung and kept calling, even when they were told the employer does not approved of calls of this sort. Let us discuss on the ways to track them, since the number making the outgoing call is never reached as it is not designed to receive the incoming calls, we are left puzzled. Some blocked numbers also don't come up in the display screen. I wish we should know the ways to track them accurately. Do you deal with debt that is already in collections, or just stricktly credit card debt?

quick question? has anyone applied for a plasma tv and speakers set @ digitalnowtv.com and get the products that they were promised. i applied for my system almost 3 months ago and have not received a thing. my delivery date was 07/19/2005 and as of now there phones are not working, i have gave them a 149.00 deposit that i assume now i will never get back. i just want to know, has anybody else been burnt by them or did they really get the product.

Keep your student loan account current, prevent it to be defaulted. Student loans are such liabilities which are, usually, not charged off easily. Seldom is it written off by bankruptcy. Once you receive the loan you have to pay it back. But most of the students find it difficult to pay multiple loans at high interest rate and as a result the account loses its ‘current' status.
