I pulled my 3 reports and found there are a couple of old medical collections listed. They could be mine because of the hospitols listed I have used but I haven't investigated yet. I thought my insurance has covered everything. Anyway, they are past the SOL and are being reported by a collection agency that works to collect for the hospitol. Can the collection agency list these items on my credit report (if I owe it), if they dont own the bill and I never made any agreement or signed any documents thru them only the hospitol?

Hi--me again! I had an account with home depot that charged off. It never went to a collection agency but for the past few months, I have been sending them a payment every month. I have still yet to hear from them. Before last month, I sent money orders but decided to start sending checks so that I could see that they were cashed. well, after sending a check to them last month, its still yet to be cashed. so now, I'm not even sure whats happened with the past money orders that I've sent.

I am trying to find information regarding this account. I want to pay it off and have it removed from my credit report. I don't even remember opening this account. Please help!!

If a company charges off as bad debt, can they still come after you?

My husband and I are both in credit counseling programs, but the combination of our monthly payments is over $700 and our budget is much too tight. Is there a way to get a consolidation loan of some sort that may be low interest and lower payments? We're both over half way through our programs in paying off our debt.

It will tell you several companies that consumers like you have listed, that are fraudulent or fishy. You can post your experiences as well, and warn others not to fall into the trap you might have fallen into. People like us have gotten several bogus companies hit with lawsuits or have gotten them shut down!

I took out some payday loans over the internet & was unable to pay them back in full. I received a call August 8, 2005 from Ellis Crosby & Assoicates and they made some pretty scary threats.
