Here's a summary of where I'm at: My husband and I have been with Freedom Financial Debt Settlement for about a year. We had 7 accounts signed up with them. So far, Capital One, Discover & Advanta have been settled with them, and we have gotten 50%-60% on these. Amex filed a suit against us, FDR was no help. We ended up having to settle directly with Amex for the full amount paid out with no interest over 3 years. We have 3 cards remaining in the FDR program: another Capital One, Chase & Citibank.

Hello, I live in TN. Are the following payday lenders legal in the state of TN? Cashweb Action Payday It'smypayday.com Cashnet I am going back thru the bank statements this afternoon to determine the amount i have paid to them to start the process of getting out of this mess. My bank has agreed to close my account and roll me into a new account number on Thursday before the next draft date of Friday.

Over the past year I've paid A LOT in interest to several companies. Is it worth it to pursue refunds or should I just deal with my two "current" ones? Currently Integrity Pay Day and EZ Pay day both owe me. I've sent a few e-mails but no response. Should I just keep sending the e-mails? They won't be missing a payment until 06/01 and I would like to avoid any harassing phone calls if at all possible. I've sent e-mails to GreenTrust and Plain Green regarding payment plans (I've paid soooo much to Plain Green over the past year but this is a newer loan).

So I have been going back and forth with Plain Green loans regarding an overpayment. I want them to apply an overpayment from a previous loan to the current outstanding loan I have now with them. They owe me $685! The current principal balance is $782 so applying that overpayment significantly reduces the balance. My gut is telling me to stick to my guns but I want to hear other opinions to see if I have a fighting chance. If I hadn't overpaid them already I would make arrangements to pay the principal with no problem.

For quite some time now my mother was sending in payments to DCS and not the us sudent loan treasury. Where has that money I have sent gone is there a way to find out what that money has gone towards paying off my loans? or are they just taking my money and doing nothing with it?

Has anyone dealt with the OVLG for payday loans? I have read the posts about doing it myself. This is just too overwhelming to me. I would rather pay a reasonable fee to have it done. I had contacted payday freedom and their fee that I calculated was 40% of the debt including interest. Utterly ridiculous! Any other ideas?
