Encore calls all the and hangs up when I pick up I try calling back and they hang up on me. I sent a certified letter asking for validity & verification and to tell them they can only contact me by mail. its been three days senic the reciecd the letter and calls have stop and they still hang up on me. how long do the have replie too my letter?

Hi everyone, I was doing research on Payday Loan settlement. I was drowning in Pay Day Loans so I signed up with a Pay Day Loan Settlement company. I really wish I made my way to this forum sooner! All of my loans are illegal in Massachusetts: North Cash Lendgreen Greenline Big Picture Loans American Web Loan After I signed up with the settlement company they went ahead and sent out all the cease and desist letters, the revocation of ACH etc. All of the payments stopped. I realized after I forgot about 2 loans I hadn't included: Spot Loan and Amplify Funding.

I have recently started to receive calls from a collection agency about an old defaulted loan with Spotloan. I don’t even remember taking out the loan, not saying I didn’t. I know payday loans are illegal in NC. However, Spotloan now states they are an installment loan company. Are they legal? They are talking about suing me. I really can’t afford to pay them, I’m not working and I can’t afford for them to sue me either. Please help me
