This is my first post,I am 26, have a full time job but work and live in an expensive area ni chicago where i don't have enough to make my minimum payments on my 3 accts with US bank. I have not seen much as far as how they are to settle with on here or anywhere through research. I thought about debt settlement help, but the payments to them is nto worth it. My 3 accouts are as follows premier line credit 8100 balance unsecured cc unsecured 6600 cc 1600 unsecured The premiere line is late as of today, so i am pretty much playig the waiting game to settle.

Ohio Resident - took out $1000 (and charged $500 origination fee on top of that). Sent them the "illegal" notice and told them I'd pay the principal that was disbursed to my bank -- $1000. They respond with (WE'VE ALL SEEN THIS BEFORE!): "This letter is being sent in response to your inquiry of April 13, 2012 in regards to the interest rate charged in conjunction with your loan. Your loan was funded by Western Sky Financial ("Western Sky") on February 28, 2012, in the amount of $1,000.00, which is the loan amount of $1,500.00 minus the $500.00 Prepaid Finance Charge/Origination Fee.

Thank you for the advice on the other posting. I need a little clarification, I suppose. I'm starting with the loans to PlainGreen. I need to know whether I've paid the principal or not, since I re-loaned, not sure how that works. Husband: 11/14/11 800.00 made 4 payments of 124.49, totaling 497.96. on 1/20, paid off with payment of 806.20 1-25-12 reloaned 800.00. 4 payments of 129.75, totaling 519.00. Myself: 11/8 loaned 700.00 made 2 payments of 108.02, totaling 216.04. On 12/8, paid off with payment of 683.56. 12/13 loan 800. 3 paymentss of 129.75 totaling 389.25.

my husband and i have gotten caught in the PDL cycle and I need to get out. we are in ohio. we have two plain green loans, 800.00 each, paid so far 419.00 on each. 2 cashcall/western sky 2525.00 each, paid so far 803.00. Magnum 678.00, 1 payment of 174.68. Instant Cash Credits 200.00 paid 60.00 Check n go online...original amount was like 2000.00 paid probably close to all of it....but not the interest part. reloaned on it and only made one payment that didn't clear the other day. I need advice what to do. I read the parts about closing account.

I keep getting calls from this company called Nationwide about a payday loan through Global Group. It was a $300 loan and I have already paid back $250 in fees. By the way, I live in NC. This company keeps calling me telling me that I have charges filed against me for non-payment and check fraud. They tell me that if I do not pay, the server will be serving me with papers at my home and work. They said if I have not been served, then I can stop the process by paying them something within the next 5 - 7 days and if I pay, then they will knock $200 off the debt I owe.

I had taken out a PDL from Ace Cash Express, and due to a set of circumstances I defaulted. I had been getting a voicemail from a debt collector, but he never identified what it was about, and I never called. Well, today he called my work, called the front desk, and told the receptionist he wanted to speak to a supervisor. I took the call, and this man told me he was tired of not being able to get a hold of me.

First, I am thrilled I found this forum. There is a TON of great information on it - stuff I need right now. I have just over $10K that was sold from Beneficial (HSBC) to P. Scott Lowery "Law Office", and they contacted us in late December to demand payment (we had been making payments to Beneficial - about $120 or so per month - before they just up and sold it without warning). I was pretty sure this was valid at the time, as Beneficial was able to verify who I needed to contact next, but I asked for DV, anyway.
