Are Highland Group (given to me as Horizon) and Beacon Financial legal pay day loan operators in Nevada?

Hi there. Hope someone can lend a hand. I was sued last year by capital one, due to unforseen circumstances, i did not open the envelope containing the summons that I signed for at the post office, so when I got back from taking care of the emergency I had to pull stakes for, It became clear that i was being sued, nd judgment was defaulted to cap noe for my failure to appear on the court date. Unfortunately, my father who hasnt had a bank acct in years, needed access to one for the customer he was working for to deposit payment into. so they used mine. oops.

Hi there - I am in Texas and have three online payday loans, and have been paying interest only for the past few months. They are with the following companies: CashNet USA ItsMyPayday Purpose Cash Advance The payments are not getting the principle down, and are getting excruciating. What can I do to settle them, and are there any ways to get refunds on the interest? I know they are a ridiculous way to get cash, but I was in a bind, and am now looking at over 3k in debt. Please help, and thanks in advance!

I received a email from these folks over the weekend. Never applied with them (or any other - I've learned my lesson and trying to get rid of one's I got now). Saying my application was withdrawn because they couldn't get in touch with me and listed my work number (the main number). Not sure where they are getting information from. I replied to email telling them I didn't apply for loan with them and to stop attempting to contact me before I file complaint with AG. Haven't heard anything else

I have read so many websites regarding legal/illegal payday loans that I think I may go blind. I need help. I have tried to search the following payday lenders on the FL Department of Financial Services and can not find them licensed....but I may doing it wrong. These are all Internet Payday Loans. Are these legal? They maybe legal and just not registered in FL? Is there a difference?

Hello, I know there's a lot of resources on DV letters out there, and believe me I've been looking through them all, but I really want to make sure I do this right the first time and I'm not sure which "template" to apply to my case. We've been getting harassing calls from MCM for months, which (when I answered) ended in a stalemate of me refusing to give them any personal info and them refusing to give me any clue why they were calling us. Then we got a letter one week ago stating that they were attempting to collect a debt from Verizon Wireless.

So I finally pulled a credit report. I have two items in collections- One is ThinkCash-I finally called the collection company that has my debt and got them to settle the debt. It is around $2000 which I am relieved they accepted. So now I have to pay $875. They will also report that the account was paid in full. Then I have verizon wireless for $278 (back 2010). They are willing to take $60. Is it worth it to pay?

Hello, My wife and I owe almost $80k in various cards. Without getting into details of how we got there (over several years), I am looking to settle as we pay almost $1,600/month for just the minimum payment. Plus my income is less than all my expenses so its a never ending cycle. In any case, I read the various members and their experiences with the various banks. Now, I am taking out a home equity line of credit to pay for the settlement. We are lucky that we bought our house at the right time so we have a lot of equity. The question is how much the bank will approve.

I have had two loans with Plain Green. The first loan of $600 was taken out in September, 2011. I repaid $1278. My current loan with Plain Green is for $500. I know I am responsible for repaying the $500 principal.
