I am from PA where payday loans are illegal, my situation has improved and I have been able to pay off 2 payday loans. I have two from plain green in which I am owed a refund (these are paid in full) of several hundred dollars. I have sent the letters and will soon file complaints with the federal trade commission, attorney general, and BBB if they do not respond for my request for a refund. Has anyone gotten refunds from plain green before?

Cash In a Wink is now threatening to contact my payroll dept if I don't pay the "balance" of this loan. I have sent the wage & bank revocation letters to them 4 times. I have paid $840 total on a $500 loan. I called the consumer finance dept for Ohio and the girl I talked to said the contract is under Delaware law and I'd have to talk to Delaware about it. She said Ohio law (spec sec 1326.35-48) do not apply to this. What should I do next?!?!

Hi everyone, I just joined this community because like so many others my wife and I have gotten ourselves into payday loan hell. We have multiple pdl out at the moment they are consuming our lives. All loans taken out are store front loans and I'm worried that if I close my account they will turn my checks over to the DA. Does anyone have any advice about what I can do? I'm thinking about trying to put them off till I get my tax refund in march. I just don't want my wages garnished/my place of work being harassed. Mr. g

Hello All, I am in need of some serious advice about my current student loan situation........ I attended school a few years ago, and I ended up taking out quite a few loans to cover the tuition and living expenses. My largest loan was a Sallie Mae Signature Student Loan originally for $33,939.00. I graduated in 2008 and since that time my career hasn't really taken off like I had hope (I'm still working to better myself though) and because of this I've been in and out of forbearance, making a few payments here and there. The outstanding balance has grown to over $50,000+.

Here are the companies: PAYDAYMAX - internet MY CASH NOW - internet ADVANCE ME TODAY - internet AMERICAN WEB LOAN - internet M1Y MARKETING (which has suddenly changed their name) I have balances owed on each one of these. Paydaymax, my cash now, and M1Y are companies I've used several times each and have wasted thousands of dollars on fees and extensions.

Plaingreen: Loan $800, $234.18 in interest United Cash: Loan 500, paid 0 so far Mycashnow: Loan 300, paid 0 so far SureAdvance: Loan 700, paid $154 Online Advance: Loan 400, paid 0 so far. What do I have to do next and what do I owe according to Indiana law.

Hi, I have credit cards that I haven't paid in years anyhow. Everything right now is in collections. I haven't paid since 2006, I was wondering since paying these will not make my credit go up. Because FICO only reports negative items to CRA's. How do i go about getting things off my credit. Basically even if I pay these collection agencies will not help my score, what should I do to improve my score and remove negative items from my credit. Thank you;)

[COLOR=black]Wow! I guess I am not the only one who is getting harassed by asset acceptance and Bally's. I was a member of Bally's in the late 1980's in 1990 I moved to a city that did not have a Bally fitness center - which was one of the clauses for dissolving your contract. I went through all of the proper procedures of filling out paperwork before I moved and provided proof of my new address after I relocated. I thought everything was taken care of at this point.
