First we are trying to refinance our home, we became aware from our title company that there is an outstanding BILL that has to be taken care of first, I was confused because I was thinking someone made a mistake, or identity fraud, we ALWAYS pay ALL our bills and ON TIME!!!!!!!! But I said It was not on our credit report, because we had already looked at them, so where is this coming from because The person handling the account said it was placed on our Title... a Lien against our home, I was like how in the world?: and Why in the world!!!

I had an AT&T/Cingular account that was on a two year contract. I recently found out a collection appeared on my credit from CCA as of 11/10. I declared Bankruptcy and it was discharged on 2/27/08, but was up to date on my phone, and continued to use it but it became a burden so I called AT&T and asked about my options. They asked for the BK number and I gave it to them and they said this would close the account. I am trying to remember all the details (I may have correspondence in my shred box) but I was very careful (I thought) to ensure there would be no liability left.

What do I do to stop ACH debits from coming out of my account??:confused:

I got a notice from NCA (natioanl credit association) on behalf of Think Cash (Bank of Delaware) asking me for the money owed within 30 days. I know I owe this payday loan but I haven't been able to pay due to job hardship. NCA is located in California and is a debt collector. Do you know if they can come after me? I live in Ohio too. Hi Melly is it legal for someone at world financial to call you using profane language? I got a phone call threatening me that someone from world financial would be taking me to court. I called the person back and they belittled me with their aggressive language stating that I had to pay by phone and had no other options.

Hi, I have Lighthouse Recovery taking money from my bank account each week without my permission. I gave them the info once for a payment, and now they just keep taking money. When I request a stop payment with my bank, they just change the name slightly, and it goes right through. Is this legal, and do I have any recourse? I've had this account for years and hate to close it, but I'm in the middle of doing just that so I can stop this. I appreciate your assistance, David

My debt was sold to a collection agency. I found out throuhg a certified letter court summons. Can this be resolved without going to court? I sent them a letter trying to reach a reduce payment plan; i have not recieved a response from the agency. However, i have recieved another court summons. They want to resolve this through the courts. The amount is for less than $3000. Why through court? What are my options?
