I am once again doing some research for a friend. She had received a court summons and unfortuanately ignored it. She now is having her wages garnished. Summons was served on 08/25/2010. She just got done with one garnishment, and now this one starts. In helping her, I noticed under Wisconsin Law, that if she receives Medical Assistance (Badger Care) and WIC (Women with Infant Children) Even though the garnishment started, can she go back and stop it, given this information. I am hoping someone can help, as she is on her last leg as it is.

Hello, I was mailed a summons and complaint from a law firm in Minneapolis, which is where I live. It is for an unpaid bill from a health care provider which I do not confirm nor deny owing. The complaint says "this communication is from a debt collector," which, to me, means that it is the initial communication this firm has had with me. There is no case number or hearing date, which is the norm for MN law. Firms do not have to file a summons with the court before it is sent to the defendant.

Maybe someone has experience this or a debt consolidation care rep can help me. after going thru LVNV so called "lawyers" because LVNV makes u talk to them if you are summoned, I settled my debt. They sent a letter stating the 1000 settlement for my 1340 amount and that the judgement would be pulled when I paid. So waiting to see it reported on my CR, I checked today and LVNV reported I owe them 340 dollars and show no reports the 1000 was paid (orig debt 500). I dont know what to do. How can I dispute this?

I took out 3 payday loans back in 2007 . They went to collections and now another company that sounds like an attorneys office is calling me saying I will have to go to court and they can suspend my drivers license. I told them what I could pay but they said that is not enough. One of the loans was with US Fast Cash, another with Cash Net USa and I am not sure what the last one was thru. IT looks like my total for all of them is going to be around $5000 when you ad all the interest and fees. What can I do?

I have been receiving calls from this company for over six months, They have my number on some other person's account and continues to call even though I told them they have the wrong number. I have filed a complaint with the FCC and am waiting for a response.:evil:
