Update: I see that the attorney for the plaintiff has filed the suit with the court on the Judicial Branch website. I didn't see that I filed my appearance and answer to the complaint. I called the court house and asked if they received my paperwork. The clerk answered "no" so I asked her what should I do. She said fax it to her. I told her I had no access to a fax machine. I then asked can I mail it. She would not answer me. I then said I understand you are not allowed to advise me but this is a pretty basic question. She then told me to look up the court rules.

I don't owe a past-due debt, nor am I late on any payments. Yet Allied Interstate consistently calls me every day, sometimes multiple times. I have a relative who is in debt and collectors have been after him. Collectors have called me about his debts before, and I'm sure Allied Interstate is doing the same. So far I haven't answered the phone when they call. Am I better off continuing to ignore them, or is there something I can do to get them to quit harrassing me?

Is it better to call or send a letter so I have a record of all communication?

Hello all- I disputed 4 collections on my credit report (in attempt to repair my damaged credit), and today I got the results....3 out of the 4 were not verified, and the 3 are suppose to be deleted from my credit. I jumped for joy, and rechecked my credit report. The collections are no longer there, but my credit score is still the same! It hasn't gone up or down or anything. I have heard numerous stories of success when people get collections deleted from their accounts, but I am beginning to believe it is all hocus pocus.

Are there any banks that offer modest personal loans? I am interested in a couple of thousand to help with a security deposit for an apt as well as to help void some debt. I have a co-signer if needed
