So I am about 120 days past due now on Capital One. I owe about $15K. The only contact I have ever received from them is the relentless calls with the recording "Hi this is Linda and I have a special offer for you" and when you answer, you get put on hold until a CSR picks up the line. From what I understand, they are a call center in Inda and they are going to try to get me on a payment plan. In order to reach a settlement with them, does it do me any good to talk to them?

I have scammers calling me on a payday loan i already paid, my question is, he is also calling the 2 people i put as personal references, 1 of them is a co-worker who i did'nt ask , which i know is my fault, but i never asked in the past with my friends cause we all helped each other. This co-worker is very mad and threatened to sue me if the phone calls don't stop. I offered to pay for his phone # to be changed, and opologized a dozen times. But can he do anything legal to me, i'm very sorry about this to the point it's making me sick. Thanks

Ok all my debt is in medical and home bills, I only have one cc and I own my vehicle. I have two children and no medical I am basically a minimum wage employee never made more then 11.00 p/h. I have hospital doctor dental and two apartment bills coming in that I have been paying on, One Hospital bill never came in til it hit collections when I tried to make payments they stopped sending the bills. Now its been over two years since I stopped paying the one bill, they have reported me dead twice now and sued me while I was out of state. They won a garnishment against me for 342 a wk.

How does someone who posts so much incorrect informaion and is prone to such flights of fantasy as Soaplady become a moderator on this forum?????

Hello, I am struggling with trying to pay off the 4 loans. How can I tell if the lenders below are legal in my state? If they are illegal, what should I do? I have one store front lender that I have to payoff every two weeks but I always end up going back because I need to money to pay other bills.

I had to close my failing business last month after 2.5 years. I have two cards - a bank Visa card from a local bank and a Chase CC. Total of about $24,000. I called each today to claim hardship, but neither will work with me. I am now down to $1000/month income of which $725 is spoken for (HELOQ). These bills are in my name, not my husband's, and although I want to be responsible, I can't possibly make the minimums ($275 on one at 5.9 and 3.9% from 2 balance transfers and $229 on the other at 13.99%).

I got a very harrassing message from a foreign speaking woman yesterday telling me to return her call immediately because of the legal mess i was in. Hi, I live in SC and applied for a PDL with (what I thought) was 1 company, but have gotten slammed with numerous emails and phone calls. I decided against borrowing from a PDL and didn't respond to anyone. The very next morning I was checking my account and noticed a deposit of $300.00 from CMG Group. I never spoke with anyone and/or signed any paperwork.
