I have recently closed an unused credit card as I'm trying to repair my credit report but amazingly my move resulted in a drop in my rate instead of improving it. I'm so frustrated
:( Isn't it supposed to improve my score instead of lowering it?
I, too, along with other family members have received threatening messages as "persons of interest". I will, as suggested, write a dv in attempt to get to the bottom of this but can I also request that others on their "persons of interest" list be removed and no longer contacted? Or will this need to be done individually.
Has anyone noticed that this site not only pressures people to do consolidation but also advertises debt settlement? this should raise a red flag right away. This is a advertisement forum which actually works in their benefit. Everything you post here will come up in some search for a decent or bad company.
My beef with this website is:
1. I have talked to numerous people on the phone that have signed in here and within hours they have gotten calls.. this leads to them selling your personal info to other companies.
2.

Does anyone know if IdealGelt is legal. I am in TN I know the laws say they have to be licensed in any state for them to be legal in TN but i can not find any info on them. thanks for your help
So here is my situation.
When my garnishments started I had 6 loans total. 5 of the loans were held by the guaranty agency The California Student Aid Commision. 1 of the loans was held by The Education Credit Management Group. For these loans I was getting garnished twice. I assumed it was once for all of the CSAC loans and once for the ECMG loans. This seems to make sense to me as I had thought that I could be garnished a total of 3 times but had only been garnished twice, and as the garnishments were taken out it seemed to make all of the loans smaller.
I also have a loan with DJR Group. I have overpaid by $280.00 and they are giving me a hrd time in giving me a refund. I finally went to my bank and had the pyament for them revoked. This was on 3/12 (Friday) and as of today (3/18) I have not heard from them. I also reported a complaint with the BBB and the FTC but all I get from them is that my complaint has been referred to the company and I have to wait by a certain date for DJR to respond.
Something interesting happened to me today; I thought I'd share. I'm about 45 days late on a $45,000 credit account to BofA. Today I got a letter from *Discover Card* canceling my account with them.
Most of the resume writing services think that essentially anyone can write resumes. These resumer writers are then given a chance to work on resumes professionally for other resume companies. What I need is someone very professional in the field of attorney resume writing. If you know any location please reply.
We've had it with Bank of America completely. Long story short, our cards expired at the end of Feb and they sent one to my husband and one in my maiden name and when we emailed them about it they danced like you wouldn't believe. Finally got a hold of them today and they told us that even though our CC was current with them, the other 3 cards that we defaulted on has made them close our account. No letter, no nothing.
