I am not in debt, but recently transunion sent a letter to my credit card company (accidentally) stating that someone fraudulently applied for my 2 year old credit card (and that it wasn't me). In response, my card was PERMANENTLY CLOSED due to a "fraud app" and I was told it can NEVER be reopened. I've tried to get this straightened out and have taken it up to executive customer service @ my bank and have had a transunion rep get on the line with an executive customer service agent and explain the situation and how it was accidental, never meant to be sent, etc.
