Hello, I recently took a pay day loan ( I know bad idea ). All is fine with the loan I have out the problem is I received a call from The Loan Shop. The lady started out by saying you took out a loan with our sister company and they sent your information to us and you are now at this bank (they had the correct bank name). I had no idea what she was talking about so I first said yes. She said well you owe us $574 for a $300 loan that you took out in October of 2008. I told her I didnt know what she was referring to and to please send me the info on this loan.

Is there anything I should know in DIY settlement in regards to a business credit card vs a personal credit card.

Me and my wife just resently fount out that were going to have a child and were wanting to buy a house. were renting right now and were wanting to buy a home by the time the baby is born. My wife also needs a new vehicle . but im worried because I have had 2 collections on my credit. well i think they were all on my credit. one for a cell phone and the other for direct tv. Im afraid that these are gonna keep me from getting a home loan . I dont know any thing about this stuff could you plese give me some advice.

Another nasty one to beware of So haven't heard anything from CashNet since last year. Checked my credit report last month and a company by the name of AIS Services was listed as a debt collector for CashNetUSA...never heard from them or received anything in the mail so I disputed it and it was removed. So then a few weeks later (YESTERDAY) I get this very rude lady, Mrs.Grey, calling me at work talking about they have a civil claim against me for CashNetUsa. The company is VRM & Associates or something like that.

I am trying to pay off multiple credit cards and student loans. I am not sure which is better to pay off first: credit cards still with the actual credit card company (discover, chase, etc) with a larger balance ($2000-$4000 range) or smaller debts ($400-$500 range) that have gone to collections. Which should I attack first?

Does anyone know whether I (as the creditor) with the judgment have the authority to pull the debtors credity report? I have two judgments and obviously have to stir things up to for the money to be deposited back into my account.

So I have just been summoned to answer a civil complaint about a past debt I owe to Washington Mutual by Machol & Johannes, LLC of Denver, CO. I've read some pretty deragatory things in this forum about this agency and how they have repeatedly violated the fair rights act, etc. This is the first real contact they have had with me regarding an account that I thought had been charged off. My first approach, I'm thinking, is to send them a validation letter requesting validation of the debt I owe, their right to collect this debt on behalf of WAMU, etc.

Okay so I just rcvd a call from a woman by the name of lanna stating that there is a grievance against my name and social security number. She proceeded to tell me that the call was being recorded than she stated that I took out a loan with them back in July for 300.00 and that my balance is now 750.00. I asked her how is that possible and she stated that the interest and roll overs, I explained to her that I have tried to speak with them and have sent emails and never rcvd a response.
