Update from Attorney General

16 years 7 months ago
I got a letter back from the Attorney General. Apparently Cityview responded. They actually provided a breakdown of what I was loaned, what I paid and how much "they" feel I how. I called my contact at the Attorney General's office and read the statutes to him and said. I realize they say I only owe $45.00 but, they violated state law, extensions are now allowed, you can't charge more then a $15.00 fee per hundred, and they loaned more then the state alllowed and they aren't licensed. I plan on sending all this information in detail back to the Attorney General's.

Is there debt consolidation for women available? I'm a single mother trying make my ways with my four years old. I can't afford the charges asked by the general debt consolidation companies. Are there agencies which work especially for women?

Advice appreciated

Hi-- Like everyone else, I stupidly got mixed up in the payday loan nightmare. It would have been okay except I lost my job. I'm more than willing to pay what I owe, but it's gotten to be too much. It's a question of paying rent or these PDLs. I have two bank accounts right now. I have 4 PDLs (Greenlight, Ameriloan, 500FastCash, and Zip19) coming due at the end of the month, which will hit my Wells Fargo account. Two others will hit my other account. I want to close the Wells Fargo account, but I'm worried they'll reopen it when the ACHs go through.

Payment Direct Online - Are they legal in Florida?

16 years 7 months ago
I got a payday loan from Payment Direct Online a few months ago. I paid them well over the $200.00 I borrowed, with the refinancing of $89 every 2 weeks. Finally, I was unable to pay them anything anymore so I closed my bank account. I haven't heard from them in 2 months. Are they legal in Florida? I would like to make sure they are "out of my life" and won't sneak up on me again later, showing up in my credit report, or try messing with my new bank account.

What if I'm able to pay my bill and they are current? But, I would still like to consolidate my loans to just one loan and one interest rate.

Old payday loans

16 years 7 months ago
I am very stressed again. I have United Legal calling me about ten times a day again. They had stopped for about 5 months and now have started up again. They have called 8 times today. I have ignored them per advice I have gotten from this website. I thought all of my payday loans had been paid. However, I pulled a copy of my credit report last week and two old payday loans from 2004 are showing. They are from Preferred Cash and United Cash. It says they were placed with Central Recovery Systems. Could United Legal actually be calling on behalf of Central Recovery?

ruben and Yates

These people called today and is giving me two days to decide on settling a debt or disputing it. I do not recognize the debt but when I looked at my CR their it was under good standing accounts. It has responsibility: authorized user. They say they have tried to contact me by phone and mail but this is the first time they ever left a message and I recieved nothing by mail. They claim they sent paperwork to my old address. Apparently they know my new address (been here two years) and phone but never sent anything here. I look under inquiries and they are just now appearing their.

BOA close your account if you can't pay all the fees

16 years 7 months ago
I am so in the red with Bank Of America and I just can't pay all the fees for nsf with pdls that keep coming out. Put a hard hold on 2 of the pdls, was told I could make paymentsto BOA, but then at another branch they said I need to pay in full. I had to drive around the block with that response, only because I didn't have the money to pay in full. Does anyone know if they close it and send me to collections? The pdl wont stop! Or just keep putting on nsf returned ach fees?
