I took out a total of 8 payday loans (Please, folx, don't judge me. I came across hard times). I reside in MD and need to know if these online PDLs are CSOs in Maryland. As of now, they are TOTALLY draining my account, and for @ least 4 of the accounts, I have already paid back more than the amount of my principle in interest fees. I have seen that if you live in MD, PDLs are illegal, but CSOs aren't. Also, do you have any suggestions on how to take on these PDL monsters?

Is this company legal in Washington State anymore? I can't find a license for them.

i am in way over my head. Can I negotiate something with the payday loan lenders. I cannot keep up because of their high charge

this particular guest is trumpeting a debt settlement co.they also give an email which i thought was personal.now i suspect a solicitory guest.they bear watching.

I received a letter from them offering me a settlement on on 6k debt with "Citibank CC" for $1900 but "I must act before August 31st". Thing is this "debt" isn't even LISTED in my credit report! I have no recollection of it either. Any advice appreciated.

I live in Ontario. In the past I had my wages garnished from a PDL company. I paid them in full as off end of 2008. They are now coming back to me with documentation (another garnish request from the courts) stating I owe them for POST judgement interest charges - Can they do this? I already paid them over 400.00 in interest charges. What confuses me is the front desk clerk I spoke to at the court house said she believed they were entitled to do this. Why on earth didn't they mention this in the first proceeding? Is this legal? Can they do this?

the bank has told me that they cant stop my charges because i authorized them and i cant close my bank account because my balance is negative does anyone have a solution for me?? friday ill get paid and have money but the PDL's are going to charge me and put me back negative again

I have two loans out right now that I have defaulted on. I am going to pay on them my way every two weeks, and with the two I have (paydayone and checkngo), they allow me to pay online via a credit or debit card. If I don't want them to have my real credit card or bank information, could I just go to Wal-Mart, purchase a prepaid credit card there that will contain just the amount I want to pay, and then pay online that way? I've never bought a prepaid Visa, so I'm not sure how payments online with it would work. Thanks! Jenn

I'm $90,000 in debt over 4 cards. Always made the payments, can no longer do so due to tanking economy, being self employed, and the card cos steadily raising my interest. I have to choose between my mortgage and my credit cards. The mortgage comes first, of course. I've been thinking about debt settlement, and I know this will affect my crdeit and I've accepted that. I have not been late for a single payment yet.
