What is the proper way to respond to a summons regarding Hayt Hayt & Ladau?

In 2004 I had a cell account that went to collections. I received the bill from a company called ERS. The total bills was $1073.XX. This was WAY too high so I called the cell company. They said my balance was only $500 and within a week I received an amended statement from ERS. I paid ERS 2 - $150 payments, 1 - $100 payment and 1 - $100+ payment to pay off the account. A few weeks after the last payment, I received a bill for $450 which is what they had originally taken off. I did not pay that balance as I knew I had paid off what I owed. Fast forward to today.

Hi, I appreciate all the help on the following. I received a call from Stanley Weinberg and Associates Corp. in Lombard, IL. They told me about an account in 1991 that was some type of personal loan or home equity or credit card in original amount of 4k. The person named Erl Shield told me that I will be served a summon by this coming Monday for appearing in the court and wants to settle this with me. He said if goes to court, with court cost and all, my cost will be about 9k, and he is willing to settle for the original amount of 4k!

I'd really appreciate some advice. I have loans with United Payday, Cashnet USA, Ameriloan, and Sonic Payday. I have paid United over a thousand dollars on a $400 dollar loan. I have a $1500 dollar payment due to Sonic. I live in Texas. Any advice?

does anyone know if you need to include unemployment benefits when doing the means test.

has anyone dealt with this company before? They claim they now own the debt I had with Bank Of America and of course the amount is now 30,477 not the the 26,000 that BOA charged off. My questions are: Should i send a validation letter? and should i determine that they really own the debt or does that even matter? Thank you forum

I filled out a form today on teamquickcask.com for a small amount which I am not worried about. My problem is that after I submitted the application (with my checking account info,employer info, etc.) I was reffered to more application sites. My e-mail inbox is full of spam and I have yet to recieve any legitimate contact or confirmation. Did I miss something?

So I owe some medical bills that have gone to collections. Today I received a Voluntary Wage Deduction in the mail with a sticky note on it to sign and give it to my HR dept. If I don't sign this and turn it is is it a good likelyhood that they will take me to court for it? If so I would rather do the voluntary wage assignment instead of having a court on my credit report. Should I go this route? The bill is for a good few grand for hospital bills my son had when he had kidney disease. Thanks for any help!
