Alliance asset has started calling me. There are a lot of similar names but from what I have found that name and thier address (that I found on this site) are not listed as licensed to collect in TN. They have called 8 times in the past 2 hours and have not left a message. I have no intention of answering and talking to them or paying them anything if they are not licensed to collect in my state. I believe they are collecting for CashDirectExpress who has been more than overpaid.

I have spent a little time recently posting on a site www.whydowork.com which is a work from home site set up with forums not unlike this site. I found it to hold a wealth of useful information and not filled with condescending members like I ran across on Warrior Forum. I have the same name and avatar as here. It was founded in 2004 in Canada but is geared to a general North American market! It is worth a look if you are searching for a work at home opportunity which I am sure many of you are!

Hi, I took out a $350 pay day loan online from Ace. My hours got cut from work and I couldn't pay in full. They told me to pay the loan off and they would let me get another one. I didn't want to do this, as I wanted to get out. I figured if I was making payments on it, they couldn't hurt me. WRONG...they are now threatening legal action. I have paid $100 on this and was set up to pay another $50 tomorrow and the rest on July 5...which would pay the loan off.

I am from Massachusetts. I am going for the trial against a debt collector soon for a debt that is not mine, they say it is but really have nothing to use against me. I just want to know what happens. Do people take the stand? Can you object to what they are saying or is it more like judge judy where each side talks at one time? They say they have an expert witness who knows about the books and records of everything. I know that her testimony is all hearsay.

Okay, so after reading this forum, we are considering settling our credit card debt on our own. Here is my question: We have about $140K in debt. We can set aside $3000 per month toward settlement. On that timeline, we won't be able to settle all accounts until 24-28 months from starting assuming the creditors will waive interest and late fees that will be added. Will our creditors wait that long? The two highest debts are with AMEX followed by BofA. Or, do we pay the largest balances first and leave the smaller ones until later?

So I sent my c/d letters to nationwide, and included a listing showing the dates of all withdrawls from my account, totally $527 on a $300 loan. i requested my account be marked PIF. i don't even want the refund on what i overpaid. i just want this done. i haven't heard from these freaks in 3 weeks, since i closed my bank account. now i get an actual call and a voicemail from some guy asking me what my 'intentions' are regarding my account and paying $197 in fees to them. should i call this guy back and actually talk to them, or let the letter do the talking for me.

Kind of a long story, but here goes... Filed Chapter 13 100% pay off at beginning of June. Notice was sent to creditors and pdl's by lawyer and trustee. I closed my bank account so pdl's they couldn't get debits through. All set. I have been getting phone calls and email threatening litigation and fraud charges from Credit Protection Depot (I had a $500 My Cash Now and $400 Pay Day Max Loan). My lawyer has called them, sent them notices, etc. What should be our next step?

After a year (actually maybe longer) i had some companies come out of the woodwork. One said I did not pay them but I got proof of my money order. The other keeps calling my job and emailing me for payments. Like a dummy I emailed them back from my work and am now so paranoid that they are going to tell my job I am on the work computer. They always threaten to do so. I guess I kind of panicked when I saw their email, as I have not gotten anything in such a long time. I really do not remember if I even fully paid this company!

We just filed a skeleton petition for Chapter 13 to stop the foreclosure on my mothers house that was going to take place tomorrow. From what I understand, she will need to pay a monthly amount for 3 years and after the three years all debts will be discharged. What happens to the mortgage after 3 years? Does she carry on paying it till the mortgage is paid? Or does that get discharged too? Thanks
