Hi Everyone, I have been reading this board for a few weeks and it has been very encouraging. Thank you to all of the posters. I am in the process of trying to settle my Suntrust/FIA Card services Credit card(which is actually owned by Bank of America). I just wanted to post my experience so far to help encourage others. I have always had excellent credit and paid my bills early. After my husbands job loss, and my income decline, we decided to try and settle out of accounts for a fresh start. My card is presently 60 days late. The balance is approx.

I applied and received a First Premier Bank Card. My available amount was $250.00 but after the startup fees, I was only able to use $50.00. Needless to say I used that $50 in a heartbeat on gas! I've had the card for 2 years now and have made the monthly payments but somehow was never able to get it under the credit limit after all the fees and everything that was charged. So I got a card and continue to ruin my credit for $50.00 plus. Something doesn't seem right here. I was only able to use the card one time, and now my balance is well over $500.00!! and growing.

Hello-has anyone gotten any calls from a man claiming to be a lawyer working with 500 fast cash to sue? And that you had a court date scheduled and you needed to pay your full balance right away or you were going to go to jail.

whyy is debt collection meaning by junk debt buyers even legal? really they pay pennies for your debt, why can they come after me for the full amount? these companies are using our court systems, and flooding them with bogus lawsuits for debt they bought...think about it, did you the consumer engage in any action with the plaintiff(jdb) in which the debt occured?

can someone please tell me what is a fico score and how that differs from trans union, experian, equifax scores? which one is used for credit to buy a home, car, ect?

Bliit and Gaines has sent my employer paperwork to fill out regarding garnishing my wages for over $10,000 due to oweing so called Household Bank money? I don't find the papaerwork to be very legitatmate and my employer is going to fill it out. I have contacted Blitt to veryify the debt but they will not send me any information. Can anyone help regarding this matter or is it too late?

I have a quick question.. I have a dog who I loved to death :) but lately I have been so poor and it has been so hard to make ends meet.. i just wanted some opinions on this. He needs shots soon and is a tiny bit behind on some preventative care.. nothing major but it is a good $150.00 at least for this. my vet will not work out payment plans. do most vets do that? my vet is pretty cheap for my area - $35 office visit, and maybe $10 or so per shot. But my dog needs heartworm meds and to be tested for other things. i know petco has a clinic but i do not have any idea if it's even worth it.

Okay heres whats happening as of this morning. I have 2 loans out... 1. with paydayone and they are working with me and I just sent them a counter payment plan explaining everything to them and hoping they have some humanity and will work with me and change the payment plan to something that is realistic so I have my fingers crossed! 2.

I have a student loan that has been in wage garnishment for about a year and a half. I am trying to buy a home, and I can't complete the process until my loan is out of garnishment. the real estate agent told me to get loan consolidation to get the loan out of garnishment status, but the consolidation company won't consolidate a loan in garnishment status. Is there a way to get the loan out of garnishment so that the consolidation company can consolidate it, or is there a consolidation company out there that will consolidate a student loan that is in wage garnishment?
