Hey has anyone checked out Oprah dot com and seen Suzie Orman's advice on getting out of a high interest rate credit card. - lets say your in way to ur ankles in a certian credit card with debt, all you can do is apply for another card and do a balance transfer. - now here's the catch, she supplied a wesite www dot cardtrack dot com, and chose balance transfer cards. Now the key to this is to find a credit card that has a nearly 0% transfer fee, and 0% interest for the first couple months or even year.

According to Ripoffreport.com, I've been hearing horrible complaints about this company. Unfortunately I just signed up today with them and didn't do my homework online. I guess I was too eager to jump the gun on fixing my small debt. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do. I haven't payed them yet but should I cancel or wait and see if they are working on my credit cards? Does anyone have any experience positive or negative with these guys and have gotten their money back? Also are there any legit debt consolidators out there? :shock:

We filed a chapter 7 July 2008. We have already been discharged. Our taxes have been done and turned in to the trustee to see if they will keep any of our return. It has been over 3 months since the returns were given to the trustee. Is there a time limit they have to decide. This is taking almost as long as the actual discharge at this point.

First I would like to say, I thought I was the only one in the world who was in " Payday Loan Hell". I am so pleased to have found this site. I live in the state of Missouri and have gotten involved with Internet Payday Loan lenders to the point, it is out of control, and no way out. I have the following past due loans, and am wondering from anyone if they are legal lenders in the state of Missouri.

It looks like I have Judgments against me in two separate cases with Capital One, in the state of Arizona, through the Justice Courts here. No Writ of Garnishment has been entered, to my knowledge, but I am going down to the courts tomorrow morning to obtain copies--I was never served, possibly because I moved last year and they didn't have my new address. My question is, I understand that they can garnish up to 25% of your wages in AZ. If that is the case, since these cases were filed separately, can they garnish up to 25% in EACH case?

I thought I settled with Cashnet USA in Feb 2009 with a company that continously harrassed me at both my home and work. It was a Mr. White from ARM??? I settled for $550 on a $300 loan. Now, I am being harrassed by a Mr. William Turner representing Cashnet USA stating that I still owe for the outstanding loan. I admit I was stupid and never received a debt verification from Mr. White at ARM - Asset Recover Management in Jacksonville Florida. However, because he continously called my place of employment, I finally gave him my credit card information to settle the debt with Cashnet USA.

I live in Arizona and have the following online payday loans: Cashnet USA - $500 (I have made 3 interest payments of $88.25 thus far) Eastside Lenders - $300 (I have made 3 interest payments of $90 thus far) Cash Central - $300 (I have made a interest payment of $52.92 thus far). I am pretty sure Cashnet USA is a legal operation, but know nothing about the other two. Are they legal/licensed? I should know better than this--had some payday loan problems last year and was able to pay them off and get out of it, but I fell into trouble again.

I just got off the phone with a rep with my debt settlement company, and asked them about cease/desist letters to stop calls to friends and family, and she basically said that that speeds up the agencies responses to take further legal action. Is that generally the case in anyone's experiences?

Recently, a Georgia local news affiliate ran a story on Mann Bracken. Many people that have dealt with these people never believed these probes would occur!! From what has been said, once the operations in Georgia have been closed down, than all the other offices nationwide would have to stop, because not all of the bad debt collectors are in Georgia. They have satellite offices in other places that are following the same illegal tactics that come out of the Georgia office.

Recently at work there have been hoards of new babies. I love babies, they are so cute and adorable.. did I mention adorable? I spent a few days thinking about how much I would like to have another one. I already have 4 children. My mother in law calls me up and explains that she has a 6 month old rat terrier that she needs to give up. Due to her work schedule she isn't able to give her the attention that she needs. I was hesitant to accept but I did. I must say having Roxxi around now has cured me of my wanting another child. She is a perfect addition to the family.
