I just wanted to thank this forum for all the great information. I had six payday loans and my entire paycheck was getting wiped out in fees. After sending ACH revocation letters, the withdrawals stopped! Where I am now: 1. Eastside Lenders - got an email saying they will consider my account PIF (I overpaid them, but for now I'm happy to be PIF) 2. Target Cash Now - agreed to settle account for remaining principal. 3. US Fast Cash - stopped debits. Haven't heard anything. I overpaid them by $417. 4. Castle Pay Day - stopped debits. Haven't heard anything. I overpaid them as well.

I took out a loan with Multisource for $500. After paying them $150 in renewal fees, I sent an ACH revocation letter, saying thatI live in MA and payday loans are illegal and that I would pay only the $350 balance of the principal. They called me the next day and said they had an offer for me, but when I called back I was told I was in collections. This was several weeks ago, but I never heard received any letter or phone calls since, until yesterday. I received a phone call yesterday from a woman saying that she is trying to locate me to serve me papers and bring charges against me.

Hello, I recieved 2 payday loans one from Idealgelt $500 and another from Quick Cash ahead. $500 Both of these companies are now refusing to take my payment in full and will only let me do installments where they take a fee each time. I asked for my terms from idealgelt and they will not furnish them and they just continue to state the fees involved. Idealgelt has taken $250 dollars from me and Quick Cash ahead has taken 150 so far. I reported over the phone I wanted them paid in full and they said they cannot do that. It's really frustrating.

I live in Washington, DC and have 4 payday loans from 4 different lenders. 1. Spot On Loans: Original amount loaned $500; Current bal $578.50; Monthly payments $205 2. CashCall (Westernsky): Original amount loaned (est) $2500; Monthly payments $294.46 3. Ameriloan: Original amount loaned $800; Current bal $1040; Monthly payments $240 4. United Cash Loan: Original amount loaned $500; Current bal $500; Monthly payments $120.00 Are these legal in my state?

I reside in Pennsylvania where these payday loan places are illegal and could no longer take having a very small paycheck every two weeks so I took action this past week thanks to this website. Here are the places I was in debt to and the response I have gotten from only one so far which is White Hills Cash. They are trying to argue with me and won't close the account. We will see if the back and forth works and they bend.

The above company says that they are located in Amherst, NY, but are not located there on the internet. Also, this company is contracted to The Hartford Management Group, LLC. I can't find their address and I need to contact them. Can you help me?

Hello Everyone. So I am currently 2 1/2 years into a 5 year chapter 13 plan. I have been paying the trustee and he has been paying the house payment and part of the past due amount. The credit cards where I thought charged off. We just got approved by the mortgage company for a modification which would put the past due amount at the end of the loan and lower our rates and payment considerably. The mortgage company says they will send paperwork to the lawyer that needs to get it signed by the BK judge.

Newbie here - my husband has a $2500.00 loan in default with Cashcall. It hasn't been sold to Western Sky. We've been caught in the payday trap for a while, but with the help of this forum, we see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had the same loan and they threatened wage garnishment and even went so far as to contact my employer. I'm in the process of paying the settlement on my loan. We want to save a lump sum and offer a settlement on his. They never called me, they emailed me the threat of wage garnishment to which I responded quickly to.
