"Please be advised, however, that your loan was made pursuant to Cash Yes’s license in its home country of Belize under the International Financial Services Commission Act of Belize, Chapter 272.

I took out a payday loan online/over the phone in October of 2011 for $400. I have paid back well over $2000 & when I called 2 months ago to see what my payoff was, I was told it was $680!!! I am at a lost as to why I still owe that much!! I haven't paid on this for the last 2 months as my back acct got hacked into & wiped me out! I closed that acct because of this. United credit has that old bank info to take payments out. I have this feeling that it was them that wiped my acct out but can't prove it. I had called a few months before this happened to get my payment date changed.

She said I have a outstanding loan from VIP loan shop that i took out online. I live in Iowa, and took this loan out via the web. Any advice/suggestions on how to handle? She stated I was going to be served, is this true? Thanks!

I have online payday loans out and can't keep up with the payments. I've closed my account that they debit but I need help with how to handle them until I am able to make the payments. I need some clarification regarding tribal lenders because I can't find any consistent information on them. On these forums I see most say that they are illegal and cannot sue anyone because they are unlicensed. In my state of CA I do see that payday lenders must be licensed and abide by state law regarding fees. HOWEVER, a debt consolidation company told me that they are in fact immune from state laws and therefore can issue loans to anyone at any rate. She also said that they are not payday loans, they are installment loans so they don't have the same type of regulations.

Hi-Can you tell me if Cash-Installment.com and West River Cash are legal in the state of north carolina? One is an installment loan and the other is a payday loan, should I handle the 2 separately? I've already shut my account down and now I'm trying to follow up and settle with them. Cash-Installment.Com=$500 loan, paid $400.68 West River Cash=$300 loan, paid $651.00. They claim to be a tribal lender & say they aren't governed by US law so is this one worth disputing?

Hi, Has anybody had any luck getting a paid in full letter from Advance Me Today with just paying the principle? I've attempted several times and these people won't budge. They keep telling me they are only obligated to follow the federal laws of the United States. They are not required to obtain state licenses and individual state laws do not apply since the federal laws adopting this treaty supersede any state's laws on the subject.

We stopped paying on our second lien in 2009 because we lost our business. Our first lien us underwater by $500K I called the rep who told me PNC would consider 10% or 20K. He said I needed to provide tax returns, bank statements and pay stubs I explained I don't have any of these as I have not income and our son has been living with us and paying our first mortgage and he would loan us the money to settle this. The rep sent it up for approval but said it would take up to 6 weeks for approval. What do they do to make the decision to approve? I mean they came up the the figure...
