Hello, I just searched the web for this company First legacy who started calling me about filing papers against me a garnishment of my check. I have no idea who these people are and they refuse to give me any info but want to verify my address which I refused to do...can they proceed with anything if this is a valid claim...they were very nasty on the phone and sounded only like bill collectors...thanks for the advise in advance.

I life in California and have the following loans - I keep having to take out loans to try and catch up from a surgery I had that put me out of work and can't seem to catch up. I want to pay my loans back but am looking for a consolidation company to help me get these interest rates to where I can. However in researching your site, I understand some of these are illegal in California and wonder if you could tell me if this is true for which ones and/or if you think I could attempt to negotiate consolidation loans with them.

White Hills Cash said if I don't pay the balance in full, they will report me to Check Data Systems which is like writing bad checks. Has anybody had this happen to them or know if this is true?

I have an bank levy on my account. I Have sent the exemption letter back to the bank and waiting for the court date. In the mean time I have tried to contact the creditor to pay the payment (in full) and alls i am getting is the run around. How can I pay the amount owed and get my account out of levy?

After reading other posts I contact the 2 payday lenders I had loans with, with some luck and some issues. Plain Green- original loan $500, then $700 over paid $597.50 Bottom Dollar- original loan $500, over paid $952.50 I contacted Plain Green by email and received a response back stating they closed my account. I contacted them by phone to inquire about my refund and was told it was being reviewed. Fingers crossed. I contacted Bottom Dollar and instead of them closing my account, they withdrew $585. Do I have any recourse? Please help.

I filed bankruptcy 6 yrs ago and at the advise of the attorney i sent an affirmation letter to my mortgage(which was not listed in the bankruptcy) Unknown to me they never received it and for the past 6 yrs i have not had any of my mortgage payments reported to credit bureau. Trying to refinance and my credit sucks because of this. Is there anything I can do at this point?

I set up payments with a bill collector 3 different times. They told me once it came back in sufficient funds, but my bank said no one had tried to take anything out. Second time, they said the account number was wrong, i gsve them my info again and once again, they said they had the wrong number. I told them to read back to me what they had, but they could not. Now they are saying there going to turn me in for fraud. What does this mean?

HI, I live in California and have 9 outstanding payday loans. I have family emergencies occur in the fall one after another and it snowballed into our finances. I got caught up in one loan after the next. I owe about $7000 with fees. I have yet to pay on most of them becuase I closed my acct. Im starting to get the phone calls now, emails, texts, now. I want to know what I can do since i haven really paid any of them I wonder if debt settlement is the best way or i should try to work out an agreement with each one?

I have been receiving phone calls from a CA that I just received the paperwork on. THey have been calling my unlisted DNC home number which was not provided to the original creditor, nor was my work phone . I only provided n my cell phone to them and they have not called it. They called my home last night 4 times between 8-9 pm. What should be my course of action with them as I have just recevied the paperwork from them on the account? Should I send them a C& D letter except through the mail
