Hello all, I posted this about an hour ago...and i came back to see if there were any replies and i noticed that for some reason its not posted.....but my question is....PDL's are illegal in Ny and i know that and have closed down my accounts and some companies worked with me and marked my accounts as paid in full....some wont work with me and say they are sending me to collections....if theyre illegal in NY can they effect my credit report??

I have 5 payday loans currently and i want to know if anyone knows if they are legal to operate in my state. they are as follows hydra fund 2 $300 principal with $90 withdrawn every 2 weeks since oct. 2012 500 fast cash $200 with $60 withdrawn every 2 weeks since 12/13/12 United Cash Loans $200 with $60 withdrawn since 12/15/12 green corp cash $300 with $90 withdrawn every 2 weeks. It will be one year in March since I filed, my payments are garnished out of my checks. I just wrecked my car and I don't know for sure yet, but I think it's totaled, the loan was included in the bk. I went to JD byrider today just to see what my options were and he said as long as i was still in chp 13, nobody would approve me for a loan. I dont exactly have a couple grand sitting around to buy a car. SUrely this can be done some how. I do have a famlily member willing to to cosign.

I have been getting phone calls from a collection agency out of buffalo ny saying I owe cash net usa money. They said they will have me arrested on check fraud charges. Can they do this.

I am preparing to send CashCall the letter that I got off this site with my principal only repayment terms (originated with Western Sky). My bank account is closed so that part is already taken care of. Has any one had any success with them accepting the terms? How long did it take for them to respond to you? Thanks in advance.

Hi, The amounts I have: Payday one 1100.00 paid 267.00 per pay check Western sky 2000.00 paid 300.00 a month. 9 months Bottom dollar 500.00 paid 150.00 pay check. I have paid for 3 months Ace express I cannot remember the borrowed amount I pay 211.00 a month for 6 monthes. I have 2 monthes left Spot loan 500.00 58.00 every 2 weeks. I have paid 5 months. I have to april to pay. From what i am understanding is the PDL and CSOs are legal in Texas. If that is the case, am I just out of luck? I am going to close my account.

Not sure if this belongs in this forum or the credit reports forum, but here goes... I had a couple of credit cards that I defaulted on when I lost my job back in 2009. They have each been turned over to collection agencies. I'm back on my feet again and would like to try and clean up my credit score. How do I best go about this? Do I pay the collection agencies? Do I pay the original debt holder (the card company)? I want to do this in a way so the accounts will reflect as paid in full on my credit report.

What are laws in Virginia regarding out of country on Online lenders? I didn't know about that part until I tried to contact these people! I had fraud go through my bank account had to close it and couldn't get this info to them. Now I am getting nasty threatening calls from some guy claiming I am going to be arrested. Is there a site to turn them or him in?

I have three storefront payday loans out and I'm in Nebraska. I'm current with all three loans, but it is a vicious cycle of having to pay off and rewrite each month. I just want to be free from them. I have poked around on here and read about EPP (extended payment plans) and want to go that route. How do I go about this? How long will I have to pay them? Do I just go into each store and talk with the manager? Can they refuse? My next due date isn't until January 31st (I'm paid monthly) and I would like to get EPP's set up on all three before then.
