I am a guy that pays all of his bills on time all my life. I take pride in that, but today i just got a letter from a debt collection agency named Nationwide Collection Inc. This company is asking for $29.44 from a debt to Columbia House. 1st it was over 6 years ago when i was a member with that organization and if my memory served me right i closed the account with a zero balance. What really gets me on how this company wrote this letter. they wrote in large bold letters UNLESS WE RECEIVE PAYMENT, WE ARE READY TO CONSIDER THE ISSUE OF LEGAL PROCEEDING IN THE COUNTY COURT.

Has anyone dealt with Cash Advance Network lately? Are they legal or not?

I am still receving calls from at least 3 of them. Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and this is a great place. I've found a lot of information on here, but i'm not sure where to get started in eliminating my debt. My cards have been sent to collections and i've got some medical bills that have not been paid on in a couple of months. I have two unsecured loans obtained in the name of the business but I was the signor of both loans. One with BoA, the other with Cap1. Both loans amount to about $95k. I have been making payments from my personal account since the funds were used personally and my partner is not aware of what I did. Now, I can no longer afford to make payments on these loans. How the business would be affected if I stop making the payments? and what the chances of getting settlement on these debts? Thanks

So, after a month and a half of sending daily emails, filing a Better Business Bureau complaint, a complaint with the FTC, 3B finally responded today. They marked my account as paid in full and have offered a refund of $60.00 (which was my overpayment). I accepted the settlement offer with the BBB but placed in comments that I could only accept a check or money order. No ACH deposits or Direct Deposits into my new account. I also told them that I wanted a paid in full letter sent with the check. I was upset about one thing though: I won't be eligible for any more loans with 3B......
