I am in debt, mostly from my month to month bills. I went to pay advance companies to help, but just got myself in worst trouble. I feel that I would not be in such a bad shape if i did not get paid once a month. by the time I get caught up, I have thirty plus days before I get paid again. How do I get myself caught up and in my payments together when I get paid the way I do.

I wanted to find out more about consolidation. After reading this forum for a few hours, I thought I understood the concepts of consolidation and settlement, but now I'm not so sure. Doesn't consolidation look better on your credit report than settlement?

I need serious help and advice. I file Chapter 13 Bankruptcy 4 years ago. I have been making all my payments and on time with the trustee. In the mean time I got 5 credit cards that I paid on for some time, then ran into some personal problems. Had some big medical bills to pay so I fell behind. The credit card companies are unwilling to work with me to lower the interest or remove some of the fees to make it possible for me to keep up. I got very frustrated with making payments and just getting deeper and deeper in debt.

I received court papers for a debt I owe I tried very hard to work a payment plan but they refuse I dont have the full amount. Can I file for bankruptcy would that stop them. Please help

Okay, just found out the hard way that there is yet another name these scums go by....Allgate Financial, which is located in Illinois. They actually reported my account to one of the credit bureaus even though I sent validation requests each time I got a collection notice, and each request was ignored. I disputed the account with the CRA, and these jerks supposedly "verified" the account and had the nerve to put under Creditor Comments on my credit report to please contact them and listed their toll-free number. There is a collection agency called Knight Adjustment Bureau, and they actually have an interest in Best Cash Advance. Therefore, they can try to collect on defaulted pdls, and can get around following most fdcpa regulations as third-party collectors are required to do.

My parents received calls from a texas credit collections in dallas texas and they told them i was writing hot checks allover town they were representing cash zone.i called them annd asked what i owed and at first they said pay $485 then they said if i could pay $400 that was fine i requested something in writing they would never send it to me.

I just pulled my credit report from Transunion. I found a couple of errors which I know how to fix but...I also found 2 or 3 items being reported with "Date updated" of mid 2007. All of these items are over 7 years old originally and 2 of them were included in my BK 5 yrs. ago. How/what do I do to have these removed or reported correctly. It looks like they are still trying to collect on them. How can they update it when it's so old??
