I have $3500 in debt from payday loans. I live in maryland and DC. how do I know which ones are licensed and which ones are not and does it matter. how do I get out of this mess. following is a list of them Northway or sonic: $381.00 ameriloan: $300.00 United cash $300.00 MTE $300.00 Premier $250.00 Payday yes $300.00 Cash today $200.00 Ambassador $300.00 Impact Cash $300.00 I have only been making interest payments. what can i do. I live in DC, i have $10,000.00 in Debt, Medical Bills, Department cards and Credit cards. I would like to pay these off via a debt consolidation agency. Can anyone recommend one that they have worked with or a reputable one? Between payday loans and my other debt, i need help. I posted about the pay day loans that i am stuck with. all storefronts, if anyone knows how to deal with or the best way to deal with storefronts when you cant afford to pay if all off in one chunk, please let me know. I am at a loss here. Thanks

It's not much, but it's a start. I figured since I don't really have the time just now to call the court, I would email them. I hope this letter is appropriate and hopefully someone will respond. I do plan on contacting AG Blumenthall on this matter as well as call the courthouse when time permits. What do you all think? Quote:

Hello, I have 5 payday loans and the fees are hurting my finances terribly bad. I want to consolidate them, but cannot find anyone who will do that. Can you provide me with the names of some agencies that do? I live in the state of CT and want to be rid of these loans so I can get back to life as usual without the added worries of a short bank account every pay period. Thanks!

I have 3 Payday loans from store front dealers, (meaning they are actual pay day loan stores not internet). Anyway, one is for $455.00 the other is $992.00 and the last $584.00. I borrowed all these loans at the same time back in October of 2006. I have been paying finance fees to since getting the loans. The total combined that i have paid back since October is $3,010.00. YET, i still owe these three stores the amounts i borrowed. I have fallen behind on my other bills trying to keep up with these awful loans. Can anyone refer me to AN ACTUAL PERSON/ATTORNEY who handles storefronts.

If a storefront PDL takes you to court will they drop it if you pay them before the court date. I am expecting my tax refund anyday now and I think I will get it before the court date.
