These people have been bugging me for about 5-6 months, probably 7 phone calls total. On Easter saturday they called once at 8:09 AM and once at 9:15 AM....fortunately for them I was in a tent in North Georgia or I would have flipped out on them. I do have those calls on my machine though. They purchased some old debts...one from Tractor Supply and one from Citibank for my name...same name, wrong middle initial. They found my name in the phone book and decided I was their man and hoped they could get me to pay.

In 2000 i had a credit card that went into collection and it came off of my report. now the collection agency is calling saying that i owe tripple than what the credit limit is.

Can a late pay status on student loans be changed to pay as agreed. I've had some late pay changed to pay as agreed on credit card accounts but didn't know whether it applies to student loans. Thanks in advance. -Julia-

I need some assistance! I received a summons from an attorney representing a creditor of mine on a bad debt from 10-2003. I live in California and I am very unclear as to what I need to do as a response letter or form. I have no idea where to obtain that form. Nor do I have 10k to repay this debt. I am receiving threatening emails from Nationwide Cash Advance in New Mexico. I had to put a stop payment on my account. They are threating criminal prosecution for a bad check, can they do this ? I live in Ohio.
