I currently lost my employment and I enrolled in debt solutions and this would have been my 2nd month in the program. I asked for a refund of this months debit payment due to hardship and they refuse. I was told by one of their representatives that my debt would be 60,000 instead of 30,000 if I leave the program.

I followed everyone's advice on this site about contacting my internet pdl's and I am happy to say that Upfront Payday sent me an email today saying that "my loan has been satisfied and my balance is at 0." Hopefully, this is the first of many to come. I actually feel that there is hope in ending this horrible payday loan mess. Thanks again to all of you who answered my questions or just gave me encouragement. Talitha

I have been trying to find the laws on Voluntary Wage Assignment in Oregon. I have been told that it is not legal in my state (Oregon), but I can't find it anywhere. Also, I am trying to find the laws about digital signatures. How legal are they, and how can a digital signature look just like my husbands if everything was done online. Dont know where to put this so here goes...Last week, we received in the mail an envelope with a check in it and a letter stating that we had won a lottery and that this check was to help pay the taxes on it. I immediately knew this was a scam for a couple of reasons. 1) It was made out to my 13 year old daughter and 2)we never entered a lottery. It really burns me up that someone could do that to someone especially my daughter. If she had opened that letter before I did, she would have been really upset when she found out that it was a scam.

i'm rather nervous about this.. i'm a little over $10,00 in debt for my credit card because i was stupid and bought things that i shouldn't have bought. i just started working at a video store, though i don't make nearly enough to pay my monthly credit payments and have money for food and rent... i am 20 years old and just started working here. right now my monthly payments for the one card is $260.00 (rounded). Can someone please help me with this problem as i have no idea what to do and am a bit scared about this problem.
