Received a somewhat disturbing call from NAFS. They claim they can place a lien on my home..Have been making payments with them for the past 6 months. Now all of a sudden that amount is not suffecient. Either settle for lower amount due on account or commit to a payment plan, that I am unable to afford. Didn't commit to anything, said would have to look into. Last payment they received cleared my bank on 6-1-06 Live in Illinois. OC was I believe was Household. It was a credit card for the Store COMP USA. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Got notice from CA that they are now collection for one of my payday loaners that have already received my letter concerning usury, I was thinking about send them a copy of letter but are they now a part of any illegal collections? Is the debt valid? They sent it to an agency in my state. You would think they know the state laws concerning this and not try to collect a claim that will turn out illegal. I am sending letter on Monday, along with copy of letter pdl signed for and state that no money will be paid on this account due to usurious activity in my state.

How can my son who is serving our country and about to go to Iraq in a few months get his debts consolidated into one so creditors will stop calling his commanding officer about payment and causing trouble for him. He wants to pay, but military has made several errors in allotments and bills have not gotten paid as deligated.

I fall under Oklahoma law Payday ok in almost 3 years i have a $500 paid over 3400.00 in interest payselect since jan. 500 loan paid over 1000.00 What can I expect from them? out of 12 down to 9 and 2 of those have payment arangements.

I searched the forum for a thread on Greenpath but couldn't find one, I hope this isn't a dupe. After spending the last three weeks researching debt consolidation programs, I made an appointment with Green path for next Thursday. They seem very credible, but after reading so many stories of people getting ripped off by these kind of companies I am apprehensive. Has anyone here used Greenpath for debt consolidation, and if so, how was your experience with them? I would really appreciate any info that anyone can give me.

Even though I know I need to be patient and let T & C do their job, but how long does it take from the time they receive my $155.00 fee till I hear anything from T & C on any outcome? I am just getting bugged by the creditors saying they haven't heard from T & C and until they receive a payment, this debt is my responsibility. I know that T & C just sent out the proposals a week ago, but I can't deal with these calls anymore. Please give me advise on how long this will take?
