I get numerous phone calls from LTD Financial Services.

19 years 9 months ago
I get a phone number on my caller id that is 800-741-2100. They hardly ever leave a message just call numerous times during the day. When they do, it is some automated voice that you can't understand. Has anyone had any dealings with them? I am going to send them a validation letter to find out what I owe. I have tried to call them but I am told to leave a message since I don't know the extension number. I have also seen that they are horrible to deal with. Any info would be appreciated.

lawsuit/judgments from credit card companies

19 years 9 months ago
If a judgment is made against me for a credit card debt and I have no wages to garnish, where can a credit card company get money from me? I am with a debt settlement company which the collection agency refuses to talk to (so they say) and are saying they will be serving me for a lawsuit. The collection agency is not in my state. Can they initiate a lawsuit from another state and how long does it usually take from telephone notices to actually being served and the actual lawsuit? Thank you for any information.

Recently I heard a news that states the victims of hurricane are forgiven from student loan repayment. Is that true or just a rumor?

Class action lawsuit against the loan company

19 years 9 months ago
I am in the process of talking to a lawyer about their scare tactics. I got a loan for the amount of $200 and the company took $180 in fees from my account. I got the call from these people saying that i had committed fraud and that i was violating federal regulations and that i would be picked up from my job if i didn't send them $167 before 5 p.m of that day. Well, i got all of the information and sent them the money and called back with the control number. I was told that being that i had paid $180 dollars in fees to considered the file ans closed.

I sent a debt valadation letter to United Legal Corp.

19 years 9 months ago
I sent a debt valadation letter to United Legal Corp. (the one on this site). They sent me proof of the loans, but didn't send me any payment history, no proof they can collect a debt in my state, nothing that the letter specified they send other than copies of the loans and one that I have no idea about. My question is, what do I need to do? I want to get these taken care of, but have heard bad things about this company. Any help would be greatly appericated.

Superior Asset Management Update

19 years 9 months ago
Ok folks, here we go... I go the results of my FOIA (freedom of Information Act) request from the Federal trade commission. I originally requested any information on consumer complaints or a federal investigation into Superior Asset Management between 1999 and September 15, 2005. The FTC gives you the first 100 pages free, and then they have a fee per page after that. They called me and the original request would have been $120.XX, cutting it down to 2003-2005 Reduced it to $90.xx and reducing it to 2004-2005 brought it to $73.XX. Needless to say I settled for the one year option.
