For the past few months I have been behind in my credit card bills. My boyfriend was out of work and its just hard to get back on track. Last week we signed up for a dmp program and wwe were so excited to start paying our debt back. The next I got a call from a guy stating that he was an attorney and my Best Buy card had to be paid in full or else I was going to get sued. Obviously I was scared and don't want to get sued so I set out to do some research on practices on collecting debts.

I have a Chase credit card. I was late on some payments and always had a high balance. Not paying attention to it screwed me up but my payments have been timely and have started making higher payments monthly. I have never done this, but is it worth me trying to ask them to re open my account at some point, like with a good faith letter? Say, when my total due to them is pretty low?

I used truecredit.com but I noticed people say myfico.com is a bit better. Anyone here use myfico.com and do you like it?

This number called me today unfourtanetly I was at work and i couldn't answer my phone the number is 310-318-0779 when I called it back the recording said world wide publishers!I am thinking this is like a book company or something I am gonna do some research and check it out!But if anyone finds out anything on this company please let me know!I know it is in california but if anyone has any clue who it is and pulls the information up before I do let me know!I also recieve calls from utah and the number is 801-364-8899 the company says on the recording says consumer first!And i am also recievin

I have worked in the collection industry for 5 years. It was my first job and I am extremely educated on fdcpa and FCRA. Unforturnately, my fiance' lost his job and we fell on some hard times. An old apartment complex I lived in sent me to a collection agency in Georgia. I moved in April of 2004 from that apt complex. I was never notified via mail because the geniuses at the apt complex provided the coll agency with the address of the old apt I lived in. Yes I did put in a COA with the USPS but somehow my mail was never forwarded.

I have read a few people here say that BHR works with your payday loans.Has anyone here used this company?If so,about how much are the payments to them each month with the fees for thier service. Thanks in advance.

I have a car loan that I'm having trouble making the payments. I basicaly owe nothing but the interest now because it was added at the beginning. I can't refinance it because the value I owe is greater than the car's worth. Is there any help on this or is this just for unsecured debts only?

i recieved a letter in the mail today from accounts receivable technologies regarding a balance of $6,864.75 due to platinum b services. THE LOAN WAS FOR $200.00. I knew ellis crosby had this account and I'm really not sure what to make of this! Has anyone dealt with this agency? I'm going to request a debt validation because this is simply outrageous. I even called them today and was on hold for over 15 minutes, then I hung up with out ever speaking to someone. Anything anyone knows would be helpful. thanks.

I was scammed out of $900 by Allied Mutual and I saw that some people on here were saying they are now operating under the name Freedom Trust.
