I have an issue with debt

19 years 10 months ago
I'm sure I'm way behind (and I apologize to those who have already read questions similar to mine)...but this forum is basically for people like me who have high debt...and we're helping others put a lid on their debt? Am I close? Kind of like a support group for shoppers? Maybe I'm missing the point all together, but I'd love to be redirected...and since I have an issue with debt, I'm sure there are many others in my same predicament. Thanks!

Useful Information on Wage Garnishments

19 years 10 months ago
I wanted to provide everyone with some helpful information regarding wage garnishments. I deal with this on a daily basis. I also deal with the creditors calling for information on a daily basis as well. 1. Your employer should not give out any information over the phone. The requests for information should be made in writing, provided you are aware of this. 2. Your wages should not be garnished unless it is done so by a court order. A company simply sending info to your employer is not enough, a court order should be in place before an employer can deduct from your wages. 3.

considering consolidation

19 years 10 months ago
Hi all: I'm new here and considering debt consolidation. I have mostly medical bills, utility bills and collection agancies looking for money from me. I seperated from my husband and was left trying to pay rent that was more than the income I had coming in. I only have a few credit card accounts but I kept them current because I knew I's need these accounts. Do these credit card accounts have to be included in debt consolidation plans or can I continue to pay them directly?
