My Mother called me today saying she received a voice mail from a "person" who stated his name, and that I was being summoned to court for whatever reason. And then provided a phone number to call back, and a claim number. First of all, i figured this is just a crazy scary threat from some collection agency...I didn't even get the message. It's my mother's cell phone, whom i have not lived with for 13 years! How they got her number, I don't know. But logically thinking, you don't sue people on voicemail, right? What's this all about?

Hello im trying to find out who is midland funding? I was sued back in 2002 and didn't know until today when i got a call sayin i was not approve for my low income because midland funding is sueing me and i have no idea why. Can somebody tell me what do i have to do to find out whats going on?

Have you heard of Hp Associates? Do you have any legitimate info on this collection agency? They called and left a message to my moms cell phone which i dont know how they got and left a message to her regarding my account and saying that they have a claim and they need "my side of the story", whatever that means. They said it was urgent i call them back. I believe it is from a payday loan company, I just want to be prepared to talk to them. I also find it suspicious that they call my moms cell phone and not contact me Ive been living on my own for years and am married, so thats odd.

I am self employed. I applied for a 30,000.00 signature loan. I was approved then had the approval rescinded because the bank said they thought I was going to use the money for my business. Are they allowed to refuse a loan because they don't like what they think I'm going to do with the money???
