Has anyone ever heard of or had experiences with Capitol One auto finance trying to repo your vehicle when you are current because you are in default for credit card to cap one?

My brother (while married) co-signed on two seperate school loans for 2 sons.......he has since divorced and both sons are in jeopordy of defaulting on loans........Where does my brother stand as far as re-payment (he does not have the cash) to meet these payments. Does his former wife have any responsibility for debts made while married?

We are in the very early stages of debt settlement. We just stopped paying CCs at the first of the month to save money for settlement. Discover is already calling me at home, at work (I did tell them to stop or I'd get fired), and has recently even called my parents' house (and were very rude to them). I guess I have a couple of questions about this whole process: - Is Discover card the most rude and aggressive? If not, what other companies can I expect this behavior from?

Hi, I just received a call from some law firm in California. I couldn't hardly understand the guy but he said that he had an affidavit to read to me regarding me taking out pdl's with no intention of paying them back and they were suing me. Yes, I have too many pdl's but I have just settled with 4 of them and I'm working with Langhorne Debt Solution on the rest. Has anyone else had this experience? They are threatening to serve me with papers at my place of employment. Any comments, thoughts and help would be appreciated.

I received a call at work today to call this number 510-709-4660 and ask for Patrick Hunt which I didn't..got home from work and there is a nasty message on my answering machine saying if i don't call back best of luck to me and he was going to send the police and FBI after me and again said good luck to me. Can anybody tell me where this call originated from and which one of these could it be..United..US Fastcash..or Integrity..all three are being a pain and I am scared I don't know where to go with this. Yes my old account is long closed . Please help me. Thank you!

I heard today that discover card is not negotiating anything lower than .70/1. Has anyone else heard anything about that? Thanks in advance.

I am trying to refinance my home and there is a collection agency called medicredit on my report for something that is definitely not mine. They have my name, social sec. # but wrong date of birth, and wrong address. This charge was dated 1996 and just reported in Aug. 09. They refuse to help me at all get this resolved. I have asked to speak to supervisors and get the run around. What should I do?

BN&A has a judgment against me for a citibank card that I had. It was my own fault as I didn't show up to the court date out of fear. Again, my stupid mistake, one I won't make again. Any how. I came into a little bit of money and want to settle the debt. I owe about $5,000. I offered them $2,000 as I have other debts to pay off with the money I'm receiving. I contacted them in the beginning of the week with my offer. The lady I spoke with said they had to contact Citibank to see if they would accept the offer. I didn't hear back. So I called the next day and got their voicemail.
