I live in TN. I have loans with plain green, Great Plains, Mobiloans, netpdl, husk hawk, twin bluff. I have paid more back than borrowed and still not anywhere close on the principal according to them since the interest is so high. Can anyone help?
I received a phone call and voicemail from a “Rose Miller” on March 22 stating that it was a courtesy call for documents of a certified notice of intent to appear in court. She stated that she would be stopping by my place of residence to get a signature for these documents, as it is required to do so before she can give them to me. She stated that she would be arriving on Tuesday, March 25 no later than 5pm. If there was a scheduling conflict, I needed to contact the filing party at 888-837-4565.
Can a collections agency have a warrant issued for an unpaid bail bond that is about 9 years old? I haven't had any documentation from them just one phone call threatening to have a warrant issued if I don't make payment arrangements or pay it in full. Also I do not a judgement on me for this.
Man I wish I would have found this site a few years ago.. Anyway to explain what is going on I have 2 accounts that are with Midlund funding LLC /attorneys office. With everything that has gone on I was served a judgement on 2 of the accounts and a sheriff actually came here with a writ of execution to hold a property sale of my stuff. I filed Bankruptcy to stay that, but dismissed my case after 3 months last Sept. I have not paid on these accounts and have not heard anything from them since.
Hi. I had several pdls about a year ago. 2 were with USFS and UCL. I overpaid and requested refunds from both (never got one). I have not heard from them since probably August of last year. I suddenly started getting calls from 918-442-9109. No messages left. Today I received a call from an unknown number. Here was his message, " this is Hal Bennett from United. I am calling about 2 complaints being filed against your county. I will be verifying your employment and your home address.

I took out a payday loan in New York State from Sure Advance.com. It was for $400. They have debited 2 payments of $76.96 each. I sent them an email stating that payday loans are illegal in New York State but I was willing to repay the principal minus what I've already paid. They responded that it is not a payday loan, but an installment loan, and are licensed in Delaware as a short term lender. They state my balance is $414.57 including principal and interest. What should I respond?
Also, after sending complaint to BBB & Federal Trade commission, Advancemetoday withdrew full payment from my account yesterday. ($1178). They sent me an e-mail on Thursday reminding me of payment due ($278), but apparently after receiving complaint, they decided to withdraw full amount! Now I really have a mess!
I sent an email to Advance Me Today stating that PDLs are illegal in New York State, that I have paid a total of $1775 on a $500 loan and would like a refund. They responded that they were an offshore entity so state laws don't apply, only federal, and under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trades (G.A.T.T.) and do not need state licenses. I have filed complaints with the FTC and the NYS Department of Finance and plan to file with the state attorney general also. How should I respond to their email?
