I have 12 pay day loans in South Carolina. All are store front. I'm paying 517.50 every two weeks in fees. I can no longer maintain them and will have to default. I've tried to obtain loans but got denied. What should I do? Please advise.
i currently live in IL. got a 300.00 loann from Kenwood services for 300.000 im sure I've paid over double by now. I closed my saving account to where they been debiting me. but will they be able to garnish my wages at work? or will they start calling my job? where do i go from here.
I got my second PIF today from World Wide Cash.
Centurion/Loan Point USA is a pain though. I'm afraid they're going to send it to collections - even though I've overpaid. I've paid $1200 for a $500 loan. I can't believe I'd even do that.
At least we have the blessings of finding this community.
I have a question for someone. I have a credit card that was opened on 12/2004. It was charged off Sept/2005. On my credit report is says that the date of first delinquency is 2/2005 and the date major delinquency first reported is 8/2005. It says date reported as 8/2007. I do not remember when the last time I paid on this account was. It was obviously before Sept/2005 since that is when it was charged off. My question is does SOL apply to this and does it apply to where I lived when I opened this account or where I live now? I lived in Kansas then and I live in South Carolina now.
can a debt collector actually send a letter or try to collect a debt from a 5 year old? My 5 year old had blood work done and the hospital sent the bill in her name. I have called them to correct it, but the never did. Now a debt collector has sent a letter in her name.
I recently settled with a CA lawsuit, well before the summons to appear in court date, for an amount less than the amount in the complaint. I have a letter from the CA lawyers stating that account has been settled in full.
They promissed to have the case dismissed with the court as soon as I signed and returned this "Stipulation For Judgement upon Default" form (which I did) and that I would not need to show up to answer for the complaint.
Well, they did no such thing.
This is a nightmare that started in 2004 when I questioned an unrecognized charge off on the CRA. I called and learned that the account was opened in 1999 through a mail solicitation postcard in my name but it went to an address I no longer lived at. I sent DV CMRRR and it was disregarded. I sent 50 letters between Jan 2004 and Feb 2006 (several CMRRR). In Feb 2006 I get a letter stating they told the CRA's to delete the trade line as it is unverifiable.
The account was sold to a junk debt buyer and I was harassed throughout 2007.
I apologize if I am asking a question that has already been answered in here somewhere but there's so much information it's hard to sift through it all.
Does anyone have an actual address for MyCashNow that I can send a letter to them telling them that I am no longer going to authorize payments to them being that I have already paid them over the amount of the initial loan and I recently found out that payday loans are illegal in the state I live in?
