I filed a claim against One Click Cash today. The bank account is finally closed and we are using the new one now. I feel a little better. The credit union says they will investigate and I will know next week if I get the $80.00 they took from me after I revoked their authorization to debit my account. Should I be doing anything else? I am tempted to e-mail them a nasty letter but I will refrain and keep it civil but I am going to request a PIF at least. From what I've been reading only one person has gotten a refund.

I got a letter from asset acceptance last fall about a delinquent Ameritech account. I didn't believe I owed this money because I had gotten a refund from Ameritech 2 years ago when I closed my account. After contacting Ameritech, with no luck because they keep no records after they sell a debt, I decided it would be best to pay the $202 debt. I was allowed to break it up into 6 payments. 4 have been automatically deducted from my checking account. I have 2 left. None have been late or delinquent.

In 1992 I took out an auto loan. In 1995 I was in debit and released the car back to the bank. They sold it and went after me for the balance of $8,000.00. I was only able to pay $100.00 per month on and off. They reported it to my credit as a charge off. Somewhere in 2004 the charge-off fell off my credit report. I suspect because negative credit only stays on for a period of time. Since then they still hound me for payments and I give them a hundered here and there. But my question is.. does the SOL come into effect here and from what point ? 1.

If I have been paying on a debt to a CA, can I still request the debt validation? I do owe money to the original creditor, but can't figure out how they came up with the amount they list.

I just got a phone call from a States attorney investigator about my complaint that I filed against my cash now back in Oct.. She told me they have been ordered to Stop doing business in Cal. And that I may be called to testify against them in a hearing. I can also recoup some of my money through this process.. YEAH one for the California AG.. I cant find my paper work on them but I have all my bank statements.. she said that would help., Wish I knew where I put that stuff...

I had a previous post about NCO calling my 87 y/o Mom re:a Capital One acct. I had repayment arrangments w/them. I sent them a C&D letter for them to stop calling my mom and contact me only via the mail. I cited the federal law. Even though bonafide repayment arrangements are set up, they continue to call me several times a day. What's worse & I am stunned to find out is they have continued to call my mom. They told her the ENTIRE story, so now she knows I owe $3700.00. She kept dates, names and #s of the calls, just because she is so concerned about what is going on.

Here's my question - OK, I sent an email to GFS/GFSIL/Rovinge yesterday stating that I have paid them in full (plus some) according to federal & state laws and that they no longer have permission to make debits to my account (which is closed so they can't anyways). I havent heard anything from them today, but I just checked my spam mail and found an email response from yesterday.

I am a Disabled Veteran and after Fifteen years on active duty my career was cut short when I was injuried while conducting a mission. While in the Army my credit rating was AAA, but after getting out/retired medically, my finances for awhile did not meet my bills. Plus the doctor and hospital bills for my wife (cancer) (Praise GOD for hearing prayer and she is now cancer free) Daughters operations, and many other things. Now my credit is EEE I guess. I tried to obtain my credit report but was told they needed more proff as to who I was.
