Cashier's Check vs. Money Order?

9 years 11 months ago
Hi All, I have been lurking on this forum for some time now and thank all of you for your valuable information! I have sent PIF letters to all 7 of my PDL's and have suprising heard back from 3 of them within 2 days. I will make another post down the road of my successes and dealing with this company, but first need some advice on which form of payment I should make to repay the principle of my loans that have been agreed upon by the companies to be settled. I have been offered to repay by certified check, cashier's check, or money order.

Good Afternoon, I want to first say that I am new here and have found the information you have listed extremely helpful. Thank you to all that contribute your time to help others. With that being said, I like a lot of people on here fell into the PDL trap. I thought everything was going to be ok and that I could handle it and before I knew it, I had 5 different loans from different companies. I want to take care of my obligations, but am really struggling with these loans as it takes just about all of my paycheck every 2 weeks.

Ok so in 2009 i went to jail for 8 days when i got out i went to my employer. they said they got someone to cover my shifts and since business was slow they would hire me back when it picked back up. I said well im gonna call unemployment do i say i was laid off he said yes. wage garnishment and interest

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I need some help. I had a hospital bill from several years ago it was only like $600-$900. At first I was okay with the garnishment, I had some money saved up and would be fine paying the total off each week. Well now I'm at the end of the garnishment and I got a letter from work (a copy the lawyer sent my employer) that states "The balance on the judgement and costs after applying your last check in the amount of $121.03 dated April 23,2015, is 342.92.

little bit of info I found

Under the site http://www.online-payday-loans.org/state-licensed-lenders/ where it lists state licensed lenders according to each state - I have found in searching the state bank commission website that Cashnetusa does not have a license in the state of Kansas anymore....it is listed as "inactive" with the reason of "surrendered". I also found a "cancellation of authority to do business in Kansas" dated 9-15-06. I think the above website needs some updating.

Life Saver

I have studied this site and finally decided to take control of my life - I believe this site has been a life savor. I sent a letter to PGL and received a response indicating "At this time we have closed your account from further activity." and also "Pursuant to your request, we have removed your contact numbers from our system and we will make no further ACH debits from your account." As my sign-on no longer works - can I jump for joy that I am truly done with them?? I had an overpayment of $ 406.24 which I know I will never see, but I will live with that if I am done.....

Will I be penalized for late payment?

10 years 1 month ago
I have a question. Though the tax filing date is already over, I came to know from my tax consultant that I have a refund of about $800 from last year. This year I owe some local tax, which can be satisfied by that refund amount. I could not make the tax payment within the due date. My query is, will I be penalized if I make tax payment and the necessary documentation a little late, say by 1-2 weeks?
