I have recently been getting a charge on my credit card form UNIVERSAL ACCOUNT SERVICE I888-2332302 every month for 132.30 US . This started when I signed up for a dating website but I have resigned from this service back in March which is when I thought the last payment was taken out in May. Would you please explain?

Is this even legal to do? I am passing this on to my State AG, but at the same time, I'm like WOW...... I am grateful that Ameriloan loaned me the cash I needed, but after I woke up today wondering how they can still charge me all these damn fees after I took out a loan from March, I started to search and I found this wonderful site! I am trying to get into a new apartment on 8/22/09. I was told that I need to start making arrangements to get my last broken lease paid off. I tried calling the old apts directly, but they said they no longer had anything to do with it. Then I contacted the collection agency that had it, Procollect Inc. She asked if I was moving and I made the mistake of saying yes. She started saying that I would have to pay the balance in full, she wouldn't accept payments. I said I could afford $100 per month, she said that since I was moving she could offer me a settlement of $754 to be paid in full.

So I took out some payday loans a few years ago, probably like 3-4 years ago and have not paid anything on them. I am now trying to get a financial plan in order to take care of my debts but I have no job now so it is hard but I am trying. Today I get a call from someone saying they represent atty john nicolia and they have a pending civil suit against me and they gave me a case dockett number and said if I do not pay the now $600 dollars I owe they will send out the papers to my county and I will get a subpoena.

I have three payday loans. I talked to Payday Loan Assistance and thought that was a good way of paying off the loans for good. Now I have a huge problem. I'm not sure who is telling the truth! The payday loan people call us night and day, they harrass my family and are threatening to garnish my wages. The payday loan assistance program says that this is "scare tactic" behavior and promises to help with the issues when we give them authority to handle the companies.

I have been paying a payday loan for at least two years. I got it over the internet. I'm not sure if it is legal in North Carolina. The company in Interim Cash. How can I get them to stop debiting my account? When I tried to pay it off, they took two payments, then went back to taking the fee only saying I defaulted on the agreement by missing a payment.

I just wrote a debt validation request to Suttell and Associates, I have a question about them and hope someone can answer me. 1. Do they usually validate or do the sell off or drop the collection action there requests to validate? I ask this as I live in Washington State and can not find where they are licensed anyplace. I do know that they have a very bad reputation and just wondering how far i can push. They did and inquiry on my credit report over a year ago and just this month I hearing from them. The capital one account was for a credit limit of 2000.

I just received a call from a collection agency attemptimg to collect a debt from Columbia House (CH)DVD. According to the collection agency, I received 2 dvd's in November 2004 and did not pay for them. This is the first I have heard of this. CH never sent me a late notice or anything. The person I spoke to said that CH doesn't send late notices, that you get the invoice with your dvd's and that is your only bill. Number one, I do not have the dvd's they claim they sent. I must have sent them back to them, but I have no proof that I did.

I am wondering --how do one go about filing a complaint against a debt settlement company for wrongfully lurking a customer in when they full knowing a debt settlement program was not right for the customer? I am close to someone who is in this position and want to help her. Thanks for any information that would be helpful in terms of filing a complaint against a debt settlement company.
